Please meet us at the boat "Coral Kai" located in Kewalo Basin Boat Harbor, Slip B-1. Complete your online waiver prior to arrival and arrive at the boat 15 minutes early as the boat departs at your scheduled time. Parking is limited so we suggest arriving extra early to find a spot or take a taxi.

Snorkel with Hawaiian green sea turtles on this group tour from Waikiki, where all the logistics are planned for you so you just need to concentrate on having a good time.
You’ll be taken to Waikiki’s Turtle Canyons, where you’ll be sure to swim with those green beauties. Plus, there are all sorts of colorful fish that swim near the reef.
Before you get into the water, your guide will give you a snorkel demo, answer any questions you may have, and make sure you feel secure in the water. You can use provided snorkel gear, so you don’t need to bring that separately.
Snacks will also be provided, which will be welcome after some serious snorkeling with sea turtles.

This was an awesome experience. It was one of the best snorkeling trips I have taken. The staff were phenomenal. Professional, supportive & very knowledgeable. We saw many turtles, varieties of Hawaiian fish. We even saw a little pod of dolphins & a seal!

We had a great time. The crew was amazing. We had first timers and experienced snorklers, both had a fun time and great experience. We have loved our HI vacation until today. This was a terrible experience and poorly managed. The staff admitted the currents / water were rougher than normal. They allowed NON SWIMMERS to go out in this current. True snorkeling was limited for beginners due to the strong current so they had to hold on to a large float. But then then they decided to move the swimmers to a place less turbulent AND MADE THEM SWIM away from the mat, around the boat against the current. Our daughter is a camp counselor and experienced swimmer and she was struggling to keep up. My husband, in his 60’s, threw up for the first time in 30 years once back on board. In fact, several people were throwing up and three or four were lying on the benches. Im just getting started and will take my review beyond Viator. Completely unsafe and miserable

Thank you for taking the time to share this—we’re truly sorry your trip ended this way, especially after what sounds like an otherwise great Hawaii vacation. We also want to acknowledge how difficult seasickness can be. It can come on quickly and really take away from the experience, and we’re sorry your husband (and others onboard) had to go through that.
Ocean conditions do change day to day, and it sounds like the currents were stronger than we would prefer for a comfortable beginner-friendly experience. While we do operate within safe limits, we agree that guest comfort—especially for non-swimmers or those less confident in the water—should always come first.
For future guests reading this, we do strongly recommend taking anti-nausea medication before any boat tour, particularly if you’re prone to motion sickness or unsure how you’ll react. Even on calmer days, it can make a big difference.
We also want to clarify how we structure the in-water experience. We use a large floating blue mat behind the boat specifically so that non-swimmers or less confident swimmers can safely enjoy being in the ocean without needing to venture out on their own. In addition, all guests are required to wear snorkel vests while in the water—these keep everyone buoyant and supported at all times.
We never require non-swimmers to swim away from the boat or the mat. That said, your feedback is important, and we will absolutely be speaking with our crew about being more proactive in encouraging anyone who is uncomfortable to remain at the mat and not push beyond their comfort level—especially in stronger conditions.
We’re very sorry this experience felt unsafe and stressful for your family. That is not the standard we aim for.

The crew was incredibly helpful and this is a great experience for anyone who wants to make sure they see sea turtles and are inexperienced with snorkeling or doing it for the first time. The only thing keeping it from being 5/5 is the somewhat crowded nature of this activity. There are several boats in the area doing the same thing, which makes your movements somewhat limited. If you want to safely snorkel with high confidence and see some turtles, this is it. If you want to have more freedom in your snorkeling this may not be for you.

We had a great time. It’s a simple trip to get to the spot. You can literally see Waikiki from the place. Plenty of fish and plenty of turtles. One got pretty close even. The crew were great. I highly recommend.

I was disappointed to not see turtles, maybe they need to change the name of the tour to just a snorkeling tour without turtles. Yes you might be lucky enough to see a turtle on the day but the name suggests there would be a lot of turtles in that area.

This whole excursion was amazing from beginning to end. The staff were engaging and attentive the whole time. I was nervous about snorkeling but they took the time to teach me with patience. An unnecessarily fast ride out to the spot. What my daughter and I experienced was over half/majority of the group getting sick. To the point..being a nurse myself I felt obligated to stay on board to care for people, not even going into the water. No turtle sighting and felt it was not worth the money, in fact we all deserved some percentage of refund despite the ‘warning’ of sea sickness. I met a woman on this excursion whom took a motion sickness medication prior AND still was vomitting. This was a traumatic and a messed up 2 hours of my life. I did not even want to put the 1-star for this review but it was mandatory to allow my review. I hope this does not happen again for anyone else that chooses to book with LIVING OCEAN TOURS.

This past winter has brought some unusually challenging ocean conditions here in Hawaii, and unfortunately we’ve had to cancel many trips because of it. While Hawaii is often known for its sunshine and calm seas, there are times when we have to work with the conditions that Mother Nature gives us, and on some days the ocean can be much rougher than anyone would like—even for those who take precautions for motion sickness.
We always do our best to advise guests ahead of time and make the safest call possible, but we understand that this experience fell short of what you were hoping for, especially without wildlife sightings and with such rough conditions.
We would truly love the opportunity to welcome you back on a calmer, more enjoyable day so you can experience what our tours are meant to be. Please feel free to reach out to us directly—we’d be happy to help arrange a return visit.
