Great Ride

Great for a quick getaway

Y_X, Sept 2025
The boat ride was fine. Make sure you get fresh air here and there because I felt a bit nauseated half hour into the ride even though I didn’t eat breakfast and I was sitting inside. Once there, take the trolley tour, rent a bike, check out the art galleries.

Helpful staff

james_s, Sept 2025
I was afraid my phone might die before boarding so the man in booth put my phone on charger then checked me in early. Off season September light day is quiet and pleasant crossing.

Great,if we buy at the wharf,it will be 86 per person, and the tickets are the same,we are so happy to save money

The trips to & from...

Amy_B, Aug 2025
The trips to & from Boston/Provincetown were on time. Everyone was professional. The only reason for 4 stars is because the ferry home was cancelled due to rough winds & I felt a bit confused about how the bus would work & where to catch it. There were busses going all day so I asked about it in person. My bus left at the same time as my ferry, they picked us up across the street from Luke’s seafood & they scanned my ferry ticket…the same as if I were boarding the ferry. I got over there early & Brian kept my bags (in the blue hut at the end of the dock) so I could keep walking around (without my heavy luggage) until my bus left…he was super helpful & friendly!

Exceptional trip on fast ferry to Provincetown and return to Boston

Take a jacket if you planning to sit outside. Staff was very nice and helpful. They have good coffee. Very nice 90 minutes worth of time to relax

They had 4 workers behind...

Kristina_B, Aug 2025
They had 4 workers behind the bar and only one or two really working. The lines had about 4 or 5 people waiting at a time. So it was frustrating. If the other people weren't working the bar, then maybe they shouldn't stand behind it. It was very confusing. Also, I needed a throw up bag because i felt queasy but they handed one off to the guy next to me. I waved my hand but was completely dismissed.

Thank you Matthew from Viator

JOHN_C, Jul 2025
Was a fun and Fast Trip. The upper deck Is Awesome on a beautiful day! We met Matthew who actually works for Viator and had an awesome discussion about how they try to create a great experience for the passengers. He was really engaging and truly interested about our experience. A true Bostonian. Five stars!

No other way to travel to Provincetown

Maureen_C, Jul 2025
Great experience from dock to dock. Food and drinks on board. Comfy seats. Wonderful views. Was so easy to have our group meet and travel under one ticket.

The boat was comfortable and relaxing

Kristine_S, Jul 2025
I can't imagine any other way to travel to the tip end of the cape. The boat was air conditioned with snacks, drinks, Cocktails. The concierge was kind and answered all my questions as a 1st timer to PTown

Great Ferry Service!!!

Scott_S, Jul 2025
Ptown Ferry was on time fast and friendly. I would do it every time! Director was great and food was good too

Booking Complications

Julia_R, Jul 2025
Purchase tickets from Boston, then returning purchase tickets from Provincetown. The meeting place is not an indicator of a return trip. Website did not make this clear but Boston City Harbor cruises helped to mitigate the situation.

Could not contact you - very frustrating

John_M, Jul 2025
Could not contact you - very frustrating. We wanted to cancel our reservation or at least give it to somebody else if the boat was full. Nobody replies to email and there is no phone number to call. Not good.

Provincetown was fun and colorful

PEGGY_T, Jun 2025
The ferry ride was a lot of fun..both ways. Provincetown itself....very colorful. So much shopping and we did. We ate at the Lobster Pot...not impressed at all. We had the vrilled cheese lobster sandwich...we're lobster rolled out, it was bland and lobster did not taste fresh. The app, avo, corn, lob was horrible. Lobster tasted old. We had homemade icecream and tgat was yummy. We took the trolly. That was nice as we got to see more of the island. Commercial street is fun. Pricing was very inexpensive. Loved the bohemian shop. Overall a very nice day.

trip to remember

Angie_B, Sept 2024
the concierge & bartender were amazing and so friendly thank you for taking such good care of us and everything

No boat available to Ptown. Rebooked with another company

Theresa_R, Sept 2024
Viator booked our reservation backwards. There is no boat to Provincetown at 530pm. Had to get tkts on another boat at last minute. I want a refund.

Loved the ferry

Mark_B, Sept 2024
First time taking the ferry. Smooth and well-organized. Reasonable price. I’ll never drive to the Cape again!

The booking of the ticket...

Micheal_P, Aug 2024
The booking of the ticket for a one way ride on the website was painful and difficult to say the least and finally had to resort to calling your customer service line to ultimately have them book the ticket. Then they said my credit card was being denied because I had tried too many times to purchase the ticket myself on line; I had to argue with them to purchase the ticket because they said I needed to wait 24 hours before trying again with my credit card. They finally processed the ticket purchase but when I showed up to the ferry they had no record of my ticket; had I not taken a picture of my confirmation I would have been screwed.

Scammed - Refund me please

Patrick_H, Aug 2024
You guys scammed me and I require an immediate refund. I needed a ride on the 5:30 boat from Boston TO Provincetown for a very important evening. I was about to buy online from the ferry company itself but I got a pop-up saying "there's a slightly cheaper way to buy a 5:30pm ferry ticket through Viator". So I bought it. It was not clear that the boat was going the other way. My email receipt and the click through to the ticket contained NO information about the address of the departing pier, the name of the ferry company, the name of the boat, nor what direction the boat was going - just the time and "Boston/Provincetown Ferry". I tried to use your interactive chat and explained my situation - no answer. It ruined my vacation plans as that was the last boat of the day. I had to train back home and buy another ticket the next day. I am requesting a full refund (and reimbursing me for all my other resulting transportation expenses would be nice, but I'll settle for the just the cost of the ticket) and I WILL pursue this from Viator noisily and document this whole interaction and post it publicly until I get it. I have been scammed by you, and you will not get away with it. Thank you. Patrick Hayden, 781-697-7335. Hayden98@me.com

Very relaxing, enjoyable. Everthing was on time from our departure to arrival.

Leonard_N, Aug 2024

Provincetown

Ismail_H, Aug 2024
Amazing beaches and food, had a great time , the ferry was very clean and organized. our guide on the ferry gave us lots of information to help us make the most of our day.

No one even welcomed us aboard.

Debra_B, Aug 2024
Getting on the boat and getting off of it. It was fine. We got there and got back. This is requiring me to say more. More of a not great review.

Comfortable Ferry

Jane_S, Aug 2024
Beautiful ferry. Comfortable, clean seating . The crew were friendly and helpful with all questions . Loved the central location near Aquariam for drop off . It was an easy walk to South Station where we continued on to a train to NYC . Would recommend this Ferry !

This and that

MaryMartha_W, Aug 2024
Great way to get from Boston to Provincetown without a car. Wish I had known to make our reservation a bit earlier so we didn’t have to kill so much time around the wharf before getting on the ferry! After a very early flight I took a nap on the ferry so can’t say a lot about the trip 😴
