Perfect day!
This hike was perfect! I ended up being the only person signed up so paid the extra for a private guided hike. The guide, Todd, was super knowledgeable and shared a lot of knowledge about everything. I had a great time and it was more like hiking with a friend than a stranger. The hikes were peaceful and the views were amazing. I would definitely do this again and would recommend it!

Best way to spend a day
Perfect way to orient yourself in to Anchorage and the surrounding areas, I am terrible with names but my tour guide, I believe Mark was his name, was very good. Kept everything flowing and didn't rush. We stopped at a restaurant call Basecamp, dam really good food, not super expensive like you would think about in Alaska. Two thumbs up

The guided glacier tour...
The guided glacier tour is suitable for a wide range of abilities with some steeper parts. We were provided with crampons and you do not necessarily need snow boots. There was little wind I felt fine without a hat. The honey and wine were a delicious treat after about 2 hrs of walking/hiking on the glacier. For ice cave experience I would wait for June/July:

Otherworldly Experience
The entire party LOVED this glacial hike. It felt otherworldly to hike on our frozen history and see the whitest, bluest and blackest ice one can see. Geoff, our driver, was incredibly friendly and was very knowledgeable about the area and glaciers. Sophie, our guide, went above and beyond to help everyone in our party (ages 4-70) safely enjoy the experience all while teaching us about the glacier and its ever changing form. If you are even thinking about doing it, do it! There is about a two hour drive from Anchorage to the glacier, but the sights keep you distracted or you can sneak in a quick nap.

Anchorage is surrounded by beauty and possibility on all sides (yes, even the water). Visitors here must carve out time to explore the city, as day trips from Anchorage are nearly endless—and endlessly tempting. Think glacier-viewing and climbing, catching the northern lights, walking through a rainforest, sighting bears and moose, and so much more. Nearby national parks also make great Anchorage day trips, as do quaint gold-rush towns and backcountry trails. If it involves spectacular nature, it’s possible in a day from Anchorage.
