Operating Schedule: Trolley tours depart every half hour from Union Station (50 Massachusetts Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002) beginning at 9am until 4pm. Tour operates daily. Shuttle available from Lincoln Memorial to transfer to Arlington National Cemetery for that portion of the tour. Shuttles run every half hour from 9am - 3:30pm. Arlington National Cemetery Tours run 8:30am - 4pm.

Factor in extra 20 minutes for waiting time no matter what stop you get off. You really only have time for 2 stops if you are looking around exhibition

It was wonderful. We have used Viator previously and loved it..this experience was no different. The drivers were very informative about DC. Because of construction one of the stops were unavailable and we were supposed to walk back to the previous stop. One of the lady drivers came and picked up several people because it was so hot and took us back to the previous stop so we didn't have to walk to catch our trolly. Top rate for Viator!

Buy a ticket for whatever hop on hop off bus you find. There’s no signs so to find where they stopped is very difficult. Half of our day is gone and we still haven’t gotten on the bus yet.

The drivers were wonderful telling us about DC! However, we had long waits because I believe tours were overbooked.. We feel like would have taken taxes and saved time and money. We spent too much time waiting.

This was an awesome tour. There’s no way we could’ve seen the sites on our own. It’s a great way to visit. Washington DC, avoid all the traffic, meet people and take it all in. I would highly recommend this tour. The guides are awesome and full of information about each attraction.

Multiple times we had to wait 30-40 minutes for a bus. Despite using the bus all day we were not able to see many sights because of time.
I have used Old Towne Trolley in other cities & have not had a problem. I will NEVER use them again.
The drivers can’t drive & tell us interesting facts at the same time. No driver seemed to know very much about Washington dc

The police can close roads and the trollies can't go to their stop (waited for 45+ minutes). If you call the number on the pamphlet you go to an operator and have to be transferred. We were hung up on and had to call back. Person wasn't helpful and was put on hold multiple times. Barely got to go through Arlington cemetery missed many experiences because of time.

Started out great with driver Sarge , who was great. We had a mobility device and I called Viator prior to booking who assured me it was not an issue. Sarge called ahead that we had 2 mobility persons in the trolly for transfer to Arlington. That trolley left without either of the mobility passengers (but with all others on our original trolley). Had to wait almost 45 minutes for another trolley. At Arlington one driver would not take 2 mobility persons. Again another 25 min wait to be accommodated. Once back for Washington trolley road closed (not your fault) causing additional lengthy wait. We ended up calling an uber to get back to original boarding area. We understand typical waits but experienced several LENGTHY waits and feel basically was due to mobility issues. Don’t advertise and share information of easy accommodations if they cannot be met.

This was an excellent way to see so many of the major attractions! I will say that I wish it ran longer in the day, especially if you do the Arlington Cemetery. However, we were able to get out and see several of the monuments, do the Arlington Cemetery tour, and get back before the last trolly ran. Definitely worth the money, and would recommend to anyone coming to DC, especially if you don’t know where to start but know that you want to see just about everything! Being able to travel at our own pace while also having the efficiency of getting from one thing to another was a life saver!

I enjoyed the convenience of this tour and the friendly guides. It is open air trolley so no AC. This being said, the day of our tour it was 96 degrees and the shade and breeze made travel comfortable. I would recommend this experience.

The Hop on Hop off bus was the perfect way to spend my day getting familiar with our country’s capital. The drivers were all very knowledgeable and the waits short between buses as I explored on the ground. The tour also helped me identify sites and museums to go back to with the remainder of my time.

This advertised 21 stops including Arlington cemetary. The only trolley we could find was 15 stops and found out too late that Arlington cemetary was a completely different trolley. There was little to no information provided to figure out the way the trolley stops work. No tickets were checked so might as well just hop on without paying any expensive fees for tickets. There were people riding the trolley just to go shopping at sephora and TJ Maxx, completely unrelated to the tour. The trolleys did not show up at the sites regularly so we ended walking most of the day. This was very disappointing!

The drivers of the trolleys was brilliant, but the route was not. The stops where to close to each other so checking out the sites made passing stops by walking way easier than go back to the stop to continue. This made us only use the trolley between three stops effectively. Taking an extra bus at stop 10 to get to Arlington is ridiculous and a waste of time, since you still have to go on the Arlington specific trolley anyway.
In summary: I’m not sure it’s worth the $61 if you’re able to walk yourself. Buy an Arlington ticket and get the walking tour.

We were extremely disappointed in your tours. Most buses were filled to the max with no seats available, and we had to continually “wait” for the next bus at most of the stops. We wasted a lot of time just waiting for the next bus. It made the day very unpleasant. You should have a limit to how many tickets you sell if you don’t have enough buses available to accommodate everyone. This happened more than once.

We love doing the hop on hop off trolley. I think you need to have more trolleys picking up . Especially at the end of the day. Had to wait because one was full and the next one took a long time to get there. More than 15 minutes.I know the traffic is bad which is why you need more trolleys.

The company overbooks the passes to the shuttle. On the day we went, thousands of people from the same group had tickets as well. There were never seats on the bus so you ended up waiting for two to three other buses to come so you could get on and go to next stop. The use of this shuttle system caused more anxiety than anything. The only good thing that came out of it is that me met Birdy, best driver and tour guide there is.
I would strongly not recommend this company. Biggest waste of money!!!!!

The bus never showed up. The app didnt tell us what buss to look for. After asking multiple workers at thee Arlington cemetery and getting different answers and waiting around for an hour. We left and drove ourselves. Threw away $135 for nothing! Never use this again. What a waste of time and money!

We had a great time using the trolley bus tour. The drivers were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The stops were conveniently placed for all the major attractions. The only downside is that they stop at 4pm, if you get off and go in to places for an hour or perhaps 2, your day is very soon eaten up we did a full tour then decided what stops we wanted. Overall I would recommend

I’ve used Viator several times on my travels and they do not disappoint. My recent trip to DC for the América 250 was wonderful despite road closures which affected our tour. I requested for a partial refund but Viator gave me a full refund. I will not hesitate to use Viator again on my future travels. Thank you Viator.

Be mindful if there are special activities happening in the city, it may affect your itinerary.
All of the staff and the drivers are super friendly. I loved how knowledgeable the driver was about the city and even added personal experiences from his youth being from the area and places he would visit and how things had changed over the years.

Drivers full of knowlege of area. Lots of stories. Sarge was great.we missed 3 stops due to activities on the 4th. But Drivers were very good at telling us the closest to each memorial.
