Top Washington DC Ghost Tours

My first visit to Washington DC was somewhat of a last minute solo getaway. With only a couple days to explore and get a feel for the city, booked the 12 stop monument bus tour with USA guided tours simply based on previous reviews on third party Viator. Fortunate enough to be guided by Nick and his team, I left Washington smitten with the city and have already began searching for dates and flights, (even jobs) to come back asap. Knowledgeable, personable, encouraging of group interaction without forcing the friendships, Nick and team provided a smooth, relaxed, enjoyable 6 hours of well presented facts and memorable points of interest that the average tourist, like myself, would have great difficulty uncovering. Nick’s love for history itself is evident in the depth and the invested tone he presents the information he’s providing. His ability to insert light heartedness and laughter keeps the mood of the tour upbeat even when he is delivering unpleasant occurrences of the past. It is very important to know this prior to the tour…Nick thinks he’s funny. :) And he actually is. Even with the city being under heavy construction and had random unscheduled road blockages that day… driver, driver in training and Nick brainstormed and rerouted whenever necessary and kept us informed and managed to keep things moving seamlessly. Quick thinking folks who know their city well. Even the few on the tour that were scheduled for only the four hour package extended their tour for the full 6 hour option early in, as it was that enjoyable and they didn’t want to miss out. Highly recommend this tour. Couldn’t have spent my morning - late afternoon, one of two days I had in DC any better than I did thanks to Nick, his team and USA Guided Tours.
