Self guided tour was great for us to fit in when we had some time, versus needing to be at a certain place at a certain time.

Go hungry and keep an eye on your guide!
It is a fun tasting tour around the north end. If you take the afternoon tour, I would recommend not having lunch as there is plenty to eat on the tour. Tim, our guide, was a good guy and knowledgeable and fun. The only recommendation I would make for your guides in the future is to have them wear something bright like a red hat or a colorful shirt as it can get a little difficult to follow them in the crowds.

Great food, great history and culture. Loved every minute! Cannoli was incredible. Pizza and subs were sublime. But the bakery was the best!!!

Mickey did a wonderful job with the history and special North End favorite food stops. He gave many stories that were very interesting I enjoyed finding new restaurants that were tucked away...only Bostonians would know about. Highly recommend this tour.
