Wonderful Day on the Lady Keilani!

It is a long trip so plan to be tired by the end. The captain and crew are attentive and informative. The best scenery is towards the end of the ride, easily three hours in. Recommend a morning tour for best snorkeling as the wind picks up in the afternoon and the water gets choppy. If you have long hair, bring a hair tie and a hat with a bolero. You will be bobbing on choppy water so prepare accordingly with Dramamine or equivalent. Seasickness is no joke and several people suffered with it. The scenery at the end of the trip is breathtaking. The captain slowed down to give us plenty of time to take photos and the crew helped as photographers. The food was excellent, a kind of seaweed wrapped spam, cheese and rice roll plus fruit and small pastries in the morning and then chicken skewers, salad and veggies for lunch topped off by cookies right from the oven. Plenty of soft drinks were on offer as well as Mai Tais (which we skipped). My partner loved the trip and gives it five stars. I would have loved it had I not been so sleepy from Dramamine, but better sleepy than seasick, right? This is one of the nicer things we did during our week here. We also recommend the Lydgate Farm chocolate tour.

Lydgate Farm Chocolate Tour

We had an excellent tour led by Henry, who has worked for Lydgate for six years, starting as a Weedwhacker and working his way up to higher responsibilities. His presentation was a perfect mix of education and humor. He’s very down to earth and honest. We could tell that he loves his job and feels a true connection with the cacao farm. The property is gorgeous, exactly what you’d expect Kauai to be. We were treated to a tasting of many different fruits and types of chocolate and were invited to compare high-quality chocolate with commercial chocolate candy. I’m afraid, as a result, we’ve become chocolate snobs, lol. This tour was the favorite thing I did during my week on Kauai. It was relaxing to walk the property. They provided umbrellas against both sun and rain and that really helped us tolerate the heat. We also had a pretty nice group who were inquisitive and asked good questions, so we learned a lot. We’ll certainly never look at chocolate the same as we did before.

Captain Js Kauai Offshore Adventures is awesome!

Much better than expected. A partly bumpy fun ride with a speedy boat (up to 40 mph!) covering 65 miles in 4.5 hrs, including a one-hour snorkeling stop, where we spotted a green sea turtle. Awesome southern half of the Na Pali Coast (up to the Kalalau Valley) with fantastic rainbows and going into a roofless cave. Great music and good vibes thanks to the relaxed and considerate crew. Two thums up, well worth the money!

Make sure you experience this Luau!

Amazing experience! The MC was knowledgeable and very helpful while inserting humor with the story. The singer was very good! Her story and the story of her daughter interacting with Elvis was beautiful. It would take a book to describe the dancers and their abilities! We were mesmerized the entire time. The flaming sword demonstration was the most impressive thing I have ever seen. The whole night was incredible. The audience was involved throughout the performance. The food was absolutely amazing!! All the food you could imagine was beautifully prepared and unlimited. We were so happy to have been there.

Amazing Private Chopper Flight!!

My wife and I had a blast! Private chopper flight in Kauai is the way to go. Our pilot, Matt, was a good young man, took us to sights we would not have been able to see on our own, and gave us good info as he circled/hovered around the interesting points. They also provided a phone holder for your phone during flight. We took some memorable photos and videos. It wasn’t cheap but soooo worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Awesome mixed activity.

Beautiful scenery and knowledgeable guide. Learned a lot about flora and fauna in that particular Hawaiian ecosystem. I would rate it at an upper level moderate activity. Hike was strenuous with muddy/slippery trail sections and rocky river crossings. The kayaking was excellent as the guide taught us to navigate close to shore to cut down on windy conditions. Secret falls were a great reward!

An absolute must-book!

This is a MUST for Kaua'i! The ge Round staff (shout out to Auntie Mei, you are fantastic!) and the pilots (thank you Reid!) are really great There are so many rich textures and details and stories/history of the island, and they did a great job of making it safe and comfortable and fun...the flying was so smooth, and the route and explanations were really something. Without doubt it was a crown jewel of our honeymoon. One of the most unforgettable things I have ever experienced...the best way to truly experience the unique landscape and stunning views. It also serves as a fantastic way to "whet your appetite" for going around the island on foot and by car. This experience will enrich you!
