What are people saying about Williamsburg

Super funny and very interesting tour
Elizabeth was a wonderful tour guide. Her dress was amazing of course! She really did a great job of engaging and making it a funny and laid-back experience. We learned a lot! One thing that I really liked about her was that she did a great job of recognizing the level of engagement the audience would best respond to. She was personable and very knowledgeable. Definitely going to check out her ghost tour!

Outstanding Private Tour with Will!
We had a fantastic experience with Will! He was incredibly flexible and accommodating, answered all of our questions, and truly tailored the tour to our interests. Since it was a very hot day, he made sure we found shady spots whenever possible and kept an eye on us to make sure we stayed well hydrated.
We were only in Williamsburg for one night, so this private tour was the perfect way to learn about the area and make the most of our limited time. Will was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible.
If you’re looking for a private tour of Williamsburg, we highly recommend Will. He made our visit memorable and enjoyable, and we left feeling like we had learned so much in just a few hours!

Scalawags and Scandal?? Yes, Please!!!
This tour is historical and fun! You will not only hear factually based stories of people and events back 250 years ago, but you will learn what was going on in Williamsburg during that era from the lips of someone who actually was living there at that time….or at least from the lips of a very convincing character actress! She played the part of the hard working jailer’s wife, who not only cared for her own family (challenging teenage daughter included) but also cooked for all the prisoners in the jail! It’s unlikely that any scandals escaped their attention. In addition to learning a lot about the unsavory behavior of scalawags and politicians alike, we came away realizing that human behavior then and now is pretty much the same! Excellent presentation and very informative as well. We enjoyed this!

From the first few...
From the first few minutes, introducing us to the main characters of Williamsburg, to the very end of our walk, Cyndi shared the rich and important History of this area.
She helped tie up some loose ends for us as we asked questions, even how the Queen City, in NC, ties into this story. Cyndi definitely knows and enjoys this Beautiful area.
We had a great time; stopped to take pictures along the way, saw a few of the main reenactors (G.W. being one), and learned a lot about this Historical town, from Cyndi. We think you will also!

07Apr3026 Jamestown Tour
It was really nice to have a private tour guide who could tailor your experience. We found that it was good to have someone take you through the Jamestown museum and highlight important displays and facts. She was very knowledgeable and presented information in a logical manner that was easy to follow.

Tom was a fantastic guide! He knew a a lot toabout Williamsburg and its history. He also told us very interesting facts and how we get the sayings and expressions we use today: he really “tied one on last night, “dressed to the nines”, shave and a haircut “two bits”, and several others!

Williamsburg Walking Tour
Vince was an excellent guide. It was only the 4 of us along with him. He was patient, offered breaks when needed, kept our pace. And we could ask questions, that he answered. And he could carry on with the tour. No umming or ahhing. We weren't interrupting his train of thought. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot that we would not have found out through brochures.
He had great recommendations for lunch.

Great way to see the historic triangle!
It was great to have the unlimited opportunities to revisit the sites because when one is traveling with kids, smaller chunks of time can be much more effective than a longer chunk of time. The living history portions were great for kids and adults alike, and I highly recommend the experience.

This tour is a MUST!
Vince is AMAZING! We didn't know what to expect since it was raining all day but I'm so glad that we kept our tour. We walked at the perfect pace and learned so much. The tour was specifically educational in the way it was truthful regarding the atrocities of colonial slavery but entertaining and inspiring in regards to the pursuit of freedom, education and pondering spirit of the enslaved. This tour is crucial for the complete Colonial Williamsburg experience.

Enlightened ⛴️🛶
My friend and I enjoyed this well-needed, enriched excursion in Williamsburg, VA. We left our tour more knowledgeable and aware about our taken away by ships ethnicity in USA and the question 'why'? was answered. Lonnie is awesome explaining this American history at its inception of slavery! This tour is highly recommended!

So good it will actually make you little nervous at the end
Well done tour by Patric. It does run until almost midnight and at least some of the sites will give you a serious case of the chills. Some strange things encountered by the group. . Enjoyable but you maybe little more nervous when done than you would think.
