Amazing Cuisine and Tour
We had an incredible experience on the Foodie Tour in Shinjuku. Ramesh was a fantastic guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and great at sharing insights about the local area and food culture. Walking through Shinjuku with him added so much context to the experience, from hidden gems to local favorites. We were so excited to visit Memory Lane.
The food throughout the tour was outstanding, especially the omakase sushi and wagyu, which truly lived up to its reputation. Every stop felt thoughtfully selected and well-paced.
Ramesh even took photos for us and sent them to us once the tour was completed.
Overall, amazing cuisine and a great tour.

Great tour for first timers to the market.
Ryo was a great guide, friendly, and knowledgeable. The stop at the template was a nice introduction and he shared details about the Shinto, Buddhism religion as well as some architectural details of the template. The stalls chosen for us to stop at all had delicious foods and he knew how to avoid the crowds. He even managed to snag a table for us about half way through to enjoy one of the vendors. Overall he made our first visit to the market less stressful.

100% recommend and ASK for SHUN!
I have traveled for many years and now with my teens…. Shun is 100% the best guide I’ve ever had. Shun was a teacher and it showed! He was wonderful with my teens and asked them questions to engage them, told funny stories and was kind, professional, and great to be with. I travel alone with my teens and never know how a guide will be. Shun was truly the best guide I’ve ever had in any country I’ve visited. The tour was wonderful; my son wanted to eat his way through it, my daughter wanted Instagram worthy photos throughout and I wanted to hear all the history and tidbits about everything Shun showed us… he hit the mark ten-fold! I 100% recommend this tour and ask for Shun!

Lots of food and fun!
Great way to experience Shinjuku in the evening. Our guide Haruki was friendly, knowledgeable and a good communicator. He kept our group of 10 organized and well-paced. So much food and all so good! Very filling! And a nice way to meet others from around the world. Just do it!

Excellent and fun wat ton taste Tokyo nightlife
Despite the consistent drizzle it was a great night. Louie the leader was very good and cared for me particularly as I was having some trouble keeping up with much younger patrons, the selection of restaurants was varied and food offerings varied, , tasty and plentiful, the group worked well together because of Louie*$ personality

Great evening in Shinjuku
Ikuto was an awesome guide! He was a great communicator, was incredibly engaging and helpful, and was delightful to talk with. He answered all our questions about Japanese culture, and he was focused on ensuring we were comfortable and having a nice time.
We really enjoyed trying typical Japanese dishes and visiting restaurants that we would never have found on our own. It was also really interesting to be in the Shinjuku district in the evening - lots of activity and sights

Amazing experience
We had a wonderful experience exploring Tokyo with Zenji. He expertly tailored our itinerary to our specific interests, remained patient throughout the day, perfectly accommodated our dining needs and also clicked our photos. Everything was exceptionally well-planned and stress-free. We couldn't have asked for a better guide, highly recommended!

Fun, unique Tokyo experience!
This tour was a great way to experience local cuisine and places off the beaten path that we never would have discovered ourselves. We got to learn about the history of the area and discover unique spots in downtown Tokyo. Highly recommend for those looking for a fun, unique experience!

Delightful experience
This was one of the best trips I've taken through viator. The food choices were excellent as was the walk through Shibuya. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very fun and entertaining as well. If we had had more time I would have taken the one through Shinjuku as well.

Fish Market tour
Shiki did a nice job…I liked the restaurant portion of the tour learning and trying the different tuna and even the new video portion that we watched on the tablet was informative, learning about the restaurant we ate at. I also enjoyed the other foods we tried in the fish market. Overall good tour!

Authentic Tokyo food experience!
* The Shinjuku food tour was the perfect way to start my trip to Tokyo. I truly felt like we visited authentic shops and had a great variety of food. There’s a decent amount of walking, but the guide Yuta did an amazing job of pacing so the group stayed together as we had a big variation in ages. We took routes to places that jhad us in the back alleys, and unique spaces that give Tokyo it’s character and charm. I felt like this was truly an authentic food tasting experience and highly recommend! If you have a strict diet or aren’t comfortable stepping out of your food zone, this may not be the tour for you, but if you’re adventurous, curious about the world’s best food city, and want to experience food like the locals do, this is perfect for you!

The absolute highlight of our Tokyo stay
Akiko was a warm, considerate, generous, funny, informative, experienced and kind tour guide—one of the very best we’ve ever had. She took us to the Tsukiji Shrine first, then through the market where she skillfully navigated us through a very thick crowd, always finding us comfortable places to eat astonishingly good food. My favorite was tasting dozens of tiny snacks—codfish with lemon, dried kelp, wasabi sesame seeds, etc at half a dozen stalls—we bought bags of snacks to bring home. She had prepared laminated cards to teach about wagyu beef, and Japanese etiquette when dining and particularly when eating sushi. She also treated us to coffee when we ran slightly ahead of our sushi reservation—a tiny back of the store coffee bar. We learned so much, tasted extraordinary food, learned about the life of both the outer and inner market, felt like we had made a new friend, and left with several handmade gifts that she had prepared for us. We will ever forget this lovely experience, the highlight of our three days in Tokyo.
