Taiga was an amazing...
Taiga was an amazing guide. Extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the food and the origin of the food we were eating. Being the life of the tour, he made the experience 10x better. Many dishes we had I did not have on my trip yet which was a plus. Furthermore, I feel like most food tours satisfy your hunger but don’t go beyond that; this tour gives you so much food that we were beyond satisfied. I highly recommend.

Great day exploring Japanese a food culture and making sushi!
The tour of the outer market was great! Shoko-san did a great job in helping navigate the busy streets, pointing out long standing businesses in the area, and encouraging to try some delicious local foods. She allowed enough time to do purchases and also consume the food while we were moving around the area. She has excellent English and knows the area very well.
As for the sushi class, it was such a treat. We have the pro-chef teach us the right way to prepare the sushi with a food instructional demo before we made our own. There was also a very professional presentation and presenter that helped explain what we were doing and the ingredients we were using. The objective of the class was to learn how to form the sushi pieces, not making everything from scratch. The rice recipe and other useful materials were shared at the end of the class via QR code.
Overall, it was a good half day spent knowing better about Japanese food culture, and being able to assemble and then enjoy the shushi we made during the course.

We just arrived in Tokyo...
We just arrived in Tokyo and we wanted a convenient and enjoyable way to explore Tokyo. Our guide, Eriko, guided us through the city. She was attentive and knowledgeable. We went to the Meiji Jingu Shrine and the Senso-ji Temple. She gave us the history of these sites and instructed us on how to conduct ourselves at these venerated sites. We also walked down Takeshita Street and took in the Tokyo Sky Tree. To top it off was the luxurious vehicle and the driver who took us around the city. The car was waiting for us whenever we were finished. All in all I heartily recommend this tour.

Better than your average food tour
We’ve done walking food tours in many cities but this was definitely a cut above the rest. Our excellent host, Hiro, took us first to a sushi restaurant to try a wide selection of fish and then to a BBQ restaurant where we cooked various cuts of wagyu under his supervision, finishing up with gelato under Godzilla’s watchful eye. Hiro was generous with his explanations of the history and traditions around both foods and we came away with a much better knowledge as a result. (We also compared the chances of Scotland 🏴 or Japan 🇯🇵 winning the ⚽️ World Cup in 2026!)

Excellent tour to some out-of-the-way places
An excellent tour led by Miyu to some eating places you wouldn’t find on your own. Tokyo can be an overwhelming city for a first-time visitor and Japanese food can sometimes appear daunting to a Westerner.
Lots of variety of food was available on this tour. My wife is not a fish lover and she still came away satisfied. If anything there was too much food.
I would give the sea snails a miss next time but everything else was very good. Don’t have too much breakfast before you go!

Yuki shared a great depth...
Yuki shared a great depth of knowledge at the Tsukiji Hongwanji temple and fish market! The walking tour with food tastings from strawberries to wagyu beef to sushi made by Chef Moritaya. He expertly served a whole sea bream as part of our delicious lunch!!!

Great intro to Shibuya,...
Great intro to Shibuya, and fantastically delicious food. There's not a huge variety here - restaurants in Japan seem to specialize, so we got several variations on gyoza and then several variations on tuna followed by a dessert. But we like gyoza and tuna, and the variations were all incredibly tasty. And we wouldn't have found any of the restaurants on our own, so we were very satisfied.

A must do especially if you're a solo traveler
As a solo traveler, this such was a good decision. Yayoi, our guide, was very informative and helpful in explaining the food and interacting with the vendors on your behalf. It's hard when you don't know the language and you have no idea what they're selling. She was very kind when I told her I'd never eaten sushi before and asked if I wanted to just eat one piece to try. I took her up on her offer, she got me one piece, and very momentously, I ate it. I'm glad she offered because I didn't know I could just have one piece and she made it easy for me.

Thank you Yuki!
Yuki was a great host! We had such an enjoyable time and amazing food! He made time for us to do things we’d never done like a Photo Booth and Mario kart. He was very engaging and knowledgeable. We highly recommend Yuki as your host for your Tokyo food tour!!!

Fun evening
Meg, our guide, was delightful - willing to answer questions about Japanese culture, history of the area and suggest places to visit, along with interest in our trip to Japan! It was a fun evening because of her and the other participants in our small group!

A filling food tour!
This is a great food tour that actually feeds you enough for dinner! The restaurant selection was interesting and nothing we would have tried on our own. Chihiro was a wonderful guide who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We definitely recommend this tour!

Nice local night out in Shibuya
Our guide took us to 3 very different local places that we would not have found otherwise. They offered a variety of different types of food and drinks and we enjoyed it all. We were stuffed and you could drink pretty much all you wanted. We had two others with us and the guide (sorry I am not great with names) and they were all great company. It was a nice night out in Shibuya.
