Best Family Tour

Lorenzo was fantastic. We were four people with limited time and a lot of ground to cover, and he built the route around what we actually wanted to see instead of running through a script. The cart made all the difference — we covered more of Rome in three hours than we could have walked in a day, and in the heat that mattered. He knew the history cold and told it well. The moment that stuck with us: he explained why the Colosseum stands where it does. After the great fire, Nero seized that land for his private palace and lake, and the Flavians deliberately built the amphitheatre on top of it and gave it back to the people. That reframed the whole building for us — not something you get from a guidebook. He stopped wherever we asked for photos and pointed out things we would have walked straight past. If you're deciding between this and a walking tour, take this one. Ask for Lorenzo.

Outstanding experience!

First off, our tour guide, Carlo, was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He took us to places that were “off the beaten path” where there weren’t a lot of tourists and spoke great English! They also have a speaker to tell you about some of the points from someone where it seems like English is their first language. Grazie Carlo!

Incredible Hospitality - Simone was the most amazing guide!

Simone was absolutely incredible! If you are looking for a genuine loving person that was born and raised in the city and knows the true local gems, he is the person! We didn’t have to listen to him through a microphone or anything like that. It was an intimate experience and Simone went above and beyond to make us feel like family. We enjoyed some alone time as well in a beautiful park overlooking the basilica and a cocktail in a local night life bar. We talked about life in Rome, our personal passions for food and culture, and so much more. Worth every penny for the hospitality as he was willing to pick us up near our apartment and drop us off for our dinner reservation elsewhere. Francisco was fabulous...

Francisco was fabulous patient with us being older. Made sure to get us up as close as possible to the sites. Took us to some lovely overlooks of the city. Explained the historical significance about the sites. Stopped a couple of times to have a Gelato treat and at the water fountains to fill up. A lovely experience with such a nice young man. Great experience.

It was a well paced experience, amazing voices , plenty of wine and the food could count as a lite meal. It only lasted about an hour which left time for a walk around the piazza and surrounding area. We choose to sit in the back and we’re glad we did. The voices projected easily but might have been a bit loud in the front table. Lovely old hotel with a rooftop that had a perfect view.

Beautiful show--even for kids!

We LOVED this experience! We'd wanted to see an operatic performance, but we knew that our kids (ages 9 and 12) might only tolerate a short one. This was perfect! The music was beautiful, and it was fun for me to realize that I recognized a lot of it. (Lots of classical hits!) The setting was great, too--with no bad seats in the room. And the view over the Trevi Fountain was great! It felt like we were in a private palace, waving to the crowd down below.

Oh, What a Night

To be sitting in a beautiful 150yr old church in Rome, enjoying the performance of Three Tenors, a ballerina and exceptional musicians was more than I imagined it would be. Each performance seemed to play on different emotions. Very happy that we took a second look at this when going through the many events on the Viator site and reserved our evening!
