Busy and crowded day. 17 in our group. Amazing Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Three hours. Very informative. The tour guide was a little hard to understand I think due to the ear audio whispers. I liked the ones used at Coliseum much better.

A great tour of St Peters Basilica
Valentino did a great job of telling us about Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica. Good pace and took time to answer questions along the way.

The tour was excellent and the guide was fantastic and clearly enjoyed sharing his knowledge with us. However the tour ran over by one hour and we did not get a tour per se of St Peter’s Basilica - what occurred was a short history of the Basilica and we were left to our own devices to enjoy the Basilica.

So much to see!
Skip the line tour is worth it just in helping navigate crowds but there is SO MUCH to see and hear. I would’ve enjoyed roaming the gardens but getting back to them was a maze - we tried. Can’t beat the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Beautiful

Valentin was a fun and insightful tour guide
Valentin was an exceptional tour guide! He made learning about the history and fascinating details of St. Peter’s Basilica both engaging and enjoyable. His insider knowledge and thoughtful explanations of the architecture, sculptures, and paintings were insightful and spot-on. Most impressive was his ability to make the history feel relatable and bring the stories behind the masterpieces to life. His passion and his personal experience working in the Basillica for years prior memorable.

Words cannot describe the stunning beauty of the grounds and St. Peter’s Basilica. Our tour guide Arthur was amazing! He explained the art, history and so much more. We are so grateful and blessed to have visited this holy site.

We enjoyed our tour of the Vatican museum and St Peter’s basilica. Our guide Ursus, helped us navigate through the crowds, got us into the Sistine Chapel before it was too crowded, and provided just the right amount of detail about what we were seeing.

When to visit

Be prepared for security lines similar to those at airports, including metal detectors, bag scanners, and potentially long waits.
This is one of the most popular attractions in all of Italy, so crowds are nearly inevitable.
The Basilica of St. Peter has a strict dress code—no bare shoulders, midriffs, or knees—and you won't be allowed in unless you adhere to it.
A skip-the-line tour of the Vatican Museums that includes St. Peter's enables you to bypass the basilica's long entry lines; you still have to go through the security check.
Climbing the dome atop the Basilica to take in the fantastic views over St. Peter's Square, requires a ticket.
