My daughter and I did this tour while visiting Roatan on a cruise. Easy to find our tour right outside the port. Our driver Brandon was excellent and gave us lots of information about Roatan during our travels. Our guide Luke at the Hangout was wonderful as well. I highly recommend this tour. We were back at the ship in plenty of time.

The Slothes and Monkeys were awesome. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I could have taken all the monkeys home. So much fun and the best experience I’ve ever had. Thank you to all the amazing staff for taking the e to explain everything to us. You are all ROCKSTARS!!! ❤️

Thank you for an excellent sloth and monkey experience in Roatan. It was a lot of fun to interact with the monkeys and birds. I appreciate your organizations care and concern for all of your animals, especially the sloths. It was awesome to see them up close. Highly recommend a visit when in Roatan! And our driver/guide gave us lots of information about the island won our drive!

Pick up was efficient and on time once we have navigated our way out of the cruiseport terminal. Sanctuary was highly interactive and good fun and well worth the visit although it was nothing like the advertised 3 hours although it could take longer on busy days when Cruise ships are in port at the same time

Kaylee was right on time at the cruise port to escort us to the exhibit. She was so personable and provided much detail about Roatan - which is a beautiful island!
At the excursion, we had wonderful guides who allowed us time to take pictures or video the animals. You could immediately tell how much they loved the animals! The tour did not last too long but in no way did we feel rushed. The drive from the cruise port was approximately 15 minutes each way.

You don't get to home the sloths because of the new laws, but it was still fun aeeing them and letting the monkeys climb all over you.

We had a great time. The sloths and monkeys and macaws are very entertaining, and our guide was great. We chose well! Our guide Ann was very knowledgeable, very friendly, the ride was very comfortable, she was exceptionally accommodating. We highly recommend Ann!!

It's a small sanctuary but you get to spend time with the sloths and monkeys. Plus the birds

This is a great experience to see spider monkeys, macaws and sloths. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Guided tour within enclosures for monkeys and large birds…wear appropriate clothing that isn’t loose fitting and avoid strong perfumes to prevent the animals from reacting. The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. The sloths were in an open area and although no touch was allowed you can get so close to them. It was a well kept facility and we enjoyed the experience thoroughly!

Thank you for pointing out the strong perfumes. Also, sunblock and bug repellent should not be used before going into the enclosures. Our guides are always ready to help and to insure you have the best day visiting the sanctuary.

We never got to go. After a long walk to the meeting point we found out that our excursion was canceled and we were never notified. Very disappointing

We’re very sorry your experience never happened. The excursion wasn’t cancelled, the driver waited for you until 12:40pm local time. A hour after your meeting time, perhaps you got to the meeting point shortly after the driver had already left.
For this we are so sorry we know at the port you arrived at is indeed a long walk. If you give us a chance to make it right in the future, please contact us for the same tour fully free for both of you.

Highly recommend booking through this company. Our driver Joe was so lovely and kind. He had so much information about the island. The experience with the animals was fabulous. The monkeys were so much fun and bounced all over our heads and shoulders. While you can’t hold the sloths anymore by law (which we fully support) you can be right next to them and experience something you can’t anywhere else. If you go to Roatan and you like animals, this is a must!

Roatan Ocean Adventures gave helpful information on how to get to the meeting place. The tour was amazing. Getting close to the sloths was an incredible experience. Then the monkeys and birds was a bonus. Take this tour with this company. You won’t be disappointed.

The experience at the park was great. The staff was also excellent and accommodating. But the price was a little expensive for just the one stop. We were only at the park for not even an hour. The park guide was excellent.

This was a great experience for our group! We were a little concerned with the pouring rain and were so happy we kept our reservation.
Keisha was our guide to and from the animal sanctuary, and she was so kind, thoughtful and informative.
Robert was our guide and the sanctuary and we could not ask for better. He gave us great information, let us have enough time to interact with the animals and was considerate of those in our group who did not want to interact with the monkeys and birds.
Per Roatan law, you can no longer handle the sloths. Robert explained to us why where we understood.
I highly recommend this tour!!

We decided against the sloth and monkey excursion and went with the snorkeling. It was my family’s first time snorkeling and our guide Joseph was incredible. So sweet, took his time with us. It was one of the best days of our lives. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A little disappointed that you can’t hold sloths anymore, however we were given the opportunity to be as close as possible without touching them. Miguel was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable about the Sanctuary and the animals, answering all our questions. He really enjoys his job their!

We did just the Sloth and Monkey Sanctuary tour. By law you cannot hold the animals anymore- HOWEVER- this did not take away from the experience for us at all. You get up close and can take pictures, feed them. It was the best tour we have done in any port so far! Ana our driver was AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable of the area and was able to give us history and answer all our questions about life here in Roatan. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this special day for us!

Sloth & Monkey experience was amazing!! Our guide Herbert at ROA was so nice and a vast well of knowledge of Roatan. They were super accommodating as we arrived to our excursion over an hour early and still took us. Would highly recommend.

Sloth is wonderful, monkeys are very playful. Do not have anything in your pockets. Macaws are good, scarlets on your arm green on your head.

You definitely interact with the Sloths, Monkeys, and birds! You are given a chance to hold the Sloths and the birds.
The monkeys run all over! LOVED that part of it! The tour was supposed to be 3 hrs, but it was only 2 hours (incl pick up/drop off from Port for Royal Caribbean)! I was a bit disappointed in that I was hoping it would be more informative/educational at the Sanctuary. Our guide really didn't give you much info, unless you asked him a question. The tour involved going into the patio area to hold the sloths. There were a couple of Sloths in the tree behind the patio. The monkeys and the birds were in large, walk in cages for groups of people to walk into and interact. I'm guessing they were only in those cages during the day for tourists.
That immediate area was new, only having been completed in the past 2-4 months. It was an expansion of the Sanctuary of which we were not shown.
Roatan and the Sanctuary was REALLY busy, with 8 Cruise Ships in the 2 ports!
