First timers for paddle boarding and kayaking
This activity was so much fun! The person in charge gave a brief explanation to my kids (16yr and 12yr) on how to paddle board and then they were off! The area where they paddle board and kayak, the water is very calm.

Know your limits!
Our guide was super nice and very knowledgeable. However I figured out that I’m too old to be doing that. I was with a 10 year old and neither of us was skilled at rowing so I honestly didn’t enjoy it and returned early. But again our guide was very good.

Sandy beach and Santa Barbara Waterfront on a cloudy day.
  • East Beach is a world-famous beach volleyball destination—join a pick-up game if you dare.
  • Remember to pack sunscreen and a hat if you’re heading to the beach.
  • The Cabrillo bike trail along the waterfront is wheelchair-accessible.
  • Walk to the end of the wharf for a great photo opportunity of the city with the Santa Ynez mountains in the background.
