Fernando was excellent! He took us around Toledo and made the experience feel really special. We especially appreciated how he guided us through some of the quieter parts of the city—it gave us a much more authentic feel beyond the main tourist spots. He was incredibly flexible and extremely knowledgeable, sharing insights we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. A fantastic guide—highly recommend!

Our private tour in Toledo was wonderful. Javi our guide, was excellent! He was very friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. We really enjoyed this tour and we fully recommend it. Toledo is such a beautiful city!

Diego was our tour guide. He was born, raised, and currently lives in Toledo. Very knowledgeable about all of the amazing history. Full of good stories and am excellent guide. Our tour started with a short drive around the historical part of the city where we could see some amazing views and get a few pictures. Diego then guided us through the city showing us major landmarks and small hidden quirks you’d never know about otherwise. At one point, we stopped into a signature bakery where he bought us some Mazapan to try. Very good. Our kids are 11 & 12 and Diego did a wonderful job including facts that they in particular found interesting.

I highly recommend this tour! Sonya was an absolute gem and was incredibly knowledgeable about Toledo and it’s history. She met us at the train station and showed us around the city. She contacted us in advance about our meet up and provided us with dining options here as well as in Madrid and Barcelona. I am so happy that we chose this private tour!

Easy drive from Madrid to Toledo, our driver Guillermo was friendly and truly bilingual. He share so much knowledge of his beautiful country. Our personal guide Fernando “Nando” was very accommodating and knowledgeable as well. He knew everything about the history of Toledo and let us do some shopping as well. Well worth doing this private tour vs the big buses. It was the highlight of our trip.

Our Toledo tour was wonderfully hosted by Salome. She picked us up in a taxi from the train and we stopped at scenic spots before going to the town center. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the architecture and religious symbolism in the area. She lives in Toledo. We visited one synagogue, a former mosque and the main church and in every location she was was engaging. We stopped for marzipan samples and visited a 6th generation ceramics shop. She even made our lunch reservations for us in town so we could eat before returning to the train. Highly recommend this tour.

Taking a private tour of Toledo with Sonia was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. This was one of the best tours we’ve ever taken, anywhere.
Our guide, Javier, was outstanding—warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and deeply passionate about Toledo. This is a family-owned business, and Javier grew up in Toledo, which made the experience feel especially personal. You could truly feel that he wasn’t just guiding us through a city, he was sharing his home with us.
He brought Toledo’s Christian, Jewish, and Muslim history to life with fascinating stories and context that went far beyond a standard walking tour. He also shared thoughtful insights about Spain more broadly, which we really appreciated.
What truly set this experience apart was Javier’s access to hidden gems. At several points, he unlocked doors and led us into places we never would have discovered on our own—it genuinely felt like VIP access. On Christmas Eve, no less, which made the experience even more special.
The tour was perfectly paced, never rushed, and felt completely tailored to us. If you want a deep, memorable, and authentic experience of Toledo, book this tour and ask for Javier. It was an absolute highlight of our trip to Spain and one we’ll remember for a long time.

Toledo is such a cool city - and holds so much of the history of Spain. We had a fantastic day with the king of dad jokes Manuel. Highly recommend!
We took the train from Madrid (super easy) and Manny met us at the station. We saw the Synagogue, the El Greco Masterpoece, the Cathedral and had lunch. When we ran out of steam, Manny pivoted easily and we finished a little earlier than planned.

Fernando was fantastic! We hit all of the highlights in old town Toledo, and he was both incredibly knowledgeable and delightful to spend time with. He thoughtfully arranged a taxi to pick us up at the bottom of the hill so we could then take in a panoramic view of the city (and take amazing pictures). Definitely a highlight of our trip to Spain!

We spent the day before exploring Toledo on our own and thought we had a pretty good feel for it – until our tour with Fernando completely transformed our understanding of the city.
Fernando was exceptional – incredibly friendly, warm, and deeply knowledgeable about Toledo’s history, culture, and hidden stories. He brought every corner of the city to life in a way we never could have experienced on our own. His passion for Toledo is obvious, and he has a wonderful way of making the history feel personal and vivid rather than just factual.
One of the absolute highlights was how connected he is to the local community. As we walked through the streets, he greeted so many locals by name and even introduced us to a few. It made the experience feel authentic and intimate, like we were seeing Toledo through the eyes of someone who truly loves it.
He took us to incredible locations and artworks, weaving together layers of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim heritage effortlessly. Even places we’d already walked past suddenly had meaning and depth once he explained their significance.
If you’re visiting Toledo, this tour is a must – and Fernando is the guide you want. It was the perfect blend of history, storytelling, and genuine human connection. We walked away understanding – and loving – the city so much more.

We had an exceptional day in Toledo with Salomé, and her guidance genuinely made the visit unforgettable. She delivered the perfect blend of deep historical knowledge and engaging storytelling—bringing the city, its layers of culture, and its people to life in ways we never could have experienced on our own.
Throughout the day, she checked in with us regularly to make sure the plan matched both our interests and our energy. That small but thoughtful detail allowed us to enjoy the city at exactly the right pace. She managed our time brilliantly—hitting every highlight we hoped to see—and then even mapped out suggestions for the rest of our afternoon so we could continue exploring confidently after the tour.
The cathedral visit was a personal favorite. Thanks to Salomé, we truly saw the space: the intricate carvings in the choir stalls, the symbolism woven throughout the artwork, and the unmistakable signatures of El Greco’s style. These are details we never would have noticed without her insight, and they transformed the experience from impressive to extraordinary.
We will never forget our time with Salomé. She is warm, intuitive, exceptionally knowledgeable, and a joy to spend the day with.
If you’re coming to Toledo, do yourself a favor and experience the city with her. Absolutely worth every single euro.

This was an awesome experience, our tour guide was Daniel, and he was excellent. You can see his love and passion for Toledo and he has a great depth and knowledge about the town. For lunch he suggested Manjares and it did not disappoint at all.
Overall a great experience and would highly recommend this if you're planning a trip to Toledo, it was a good balance of guided tours, lunch (out of your pocket), and then some time to self explore the city yourself before making it back to where you are staying, in our case it was Madrid via the Renfe train.

There is NO BETTER WAY to experience and fall in love with Toledo than doing so with Javier (Javi) as your private guide. Born and raised in and passionate about his hometown, Javi ensures that you see the magical place through his eyes while tailoring the tour to focus on aspects that you find of particular interest. We expressed an interest in local Toledo's history of multicuturalism and Jewish history (there is and has always been a Jewish enclave, but never a ghetto -- so rare in history). We visited both a synagogue and, of course, the famous Toledo Cathedral, as well as an underground excavation in the Jewish sector open only to private groups like us. He explained the history of the various inhabitants of Toledo, Muslims, Jews & Catholics. While it wasn't perfect, there was general respect and understanding between those groups living in very close proximity to one another in this small historical town, something that seems to us is conspicuously absent in our world today. We are seeking insight as to how we might learn from history and achieve a better understanding of the challenges our world is currently facing. Javi embraced our interest and inquiries and provided incredible insight based upon his expertise in the history of the region as well as through insights gained through his own extensive travel. Additionally, and at our request, he recommended incredible favorite local lunch options and introduced us to several second and third generation local artisans, from whom we purchased a ceramic keepsake that will forever remind us of our perfect day in Toledo. In brief, Javi ensured that we, too fell in love with his hometown.
