A wonderful day in London

Wow! What an amazing tour! We were lucky enough to have Davis as our guide. A ton of great stops - both well know monuments as well as off the beaten path stops that showed much more history than we expected. Many photo opportunities and David was quick to take them for us. As a life long resident, licensed cabbie, and blue badge holder his knowledge of the city is very impressive. We all would highly recommend the you a David!

Great day in London!

Jeremy was awesome. He took us to all the spots and made sure to accommodate some of the interests of the kids along the way, including book/movie inspiration and sites (Harry Potter, 101 Dalmatians, Paddington), but also added some flare with a trip to the Graffiti tunnel in Waterloo which the kids loved. Highly recommend the tour as the black cabs can get through traffic better as they're allowed in bus lanes. Also highly recommend Jeremy who showcased his knowledge and passion for the city.

We were in London for a...

We were in London for a limited time and for two of our four family members it was their first time in London. Our guide Gary was top notch. We could not have done as much in a day as we did in the 2 hours with him. He was so informative about the history and willing to answer any questions we had. My husband who has hearing issues especially appreciated the tour and Gary as he was able to understand what was being said and learn about what he was seeing. We can’t recommend Gary enough.

We had a little over a day in London and chose this tour. Stonehenge di. It disappoint. I thought it would just be rocks but it was incredible! I wish we could have seen more at Windsor Castle but I understand it is a residence and privacy matters as well. Bath was beautiful and the Roma baths were really cool to learn about.

Great way for tourists to see multiple great attractions outside London

Our tour was outstanding. The tour guide and driver, Eugene and Hader (spp?), were both very experienced and made the tour informative and fun. The driver made navigating out of London and across the countryside easy- we could not have done so much in day if we rented a car ourselves. The guide gave us excellent strategies for seeing the attractions. His experience led him to give descriptions ahead of arrival so we knew where to walk and get the most out of the visit. It was out first bus tour ever and well worth it. It was a long day and packed with touristy goodness.

Good intro to London

It was a great way to start our day in London. Our tour guide Johnny was excellent! He gave us insider tips on the different places we passed through, including some history about Jack the Ripper for which he was very knowledgeable. Some funny anecdotes about his father and the royal Family, and tips on what to try in terms of food. My daughter and I were the only people On the tour so we got a personalized tour guide! In the end , he even walked into where we could have a late night dinner .

Harry Potter Four Hour Tour Advice

We thoroughly enjoyed the Harry Potter experience! When comparing Viator Harry Potter tours, check the transportation: from our hotel, we took one train to the bus, but others can be far more complicated. Also, very important to note that Victoria Station and Victoria Coach Station are not the same building (close to each other). Make sure you know where to meet ahead of time as the tour buses leave promptly on time. Can be done in three hours and fifty minutes without being too rushed. Load map of tour (on website) to your phone. Backlot Cafe is about halfway. Keep track often of where you are. The front half is great, but my favorite rooms were in the back half. You don't want to rush through those. You have a ticket with a firm entry time. Ours was for 10am. Our tour bus got us there about twenty min early. We used the time to check out the gift shop while it was empty. We also skipped taking time to wait on line, get food and eat, but we did enjoy a butterbeer (bring a snack if you want to). There is a separate butterbeer bar at the back of the Backlot Cafe with no lines. There is a ton to read at every exhibit. Take photos of some to read later. We were not only able to get through and back to bus on time, we attended three live demonstrations. We also did both green screen options. If you're seriously thinking of doing this, buy your tickets as far in advance as you can, as long as you can cancel them if needed. As tickets sell, the price goes up dramatically. Note that some reviews said backpacks needed to be checked but we saw many people with them throughout the tour. Key points if doing the four hour Harry Potter bus tour: 1. Don't spend time at the restaurants to maximize your time at the exhibits. 2. Keep moving so the Backlot Cafe is halfway through tour (about two hours) 3. Catch as many live demonstrations/shows/activities as you can. They're worthwhile. 4. This was a self-guided tour. No guide needed. We hope this helps you plan your Harry Potter experience.
