My adult daughter and I really enjoyed this outing to the Cotswolds! While the weather wasn’t great, our guide David was probably the best guide I’ve ever had! He seamlessly combined humor and history in his narration and even sang for us! We had ample time at each village and loved seeing the countryside outside of London.

After boarding your transport and heading out of London and into the British countryside, you’ll arrive at your first stop, Burford, known as the gateway to the Cotswolds. You’ll have time to stroll the quaint high street and admire houses more than 600 years old.

Next up is the village of Bibury, often described as the prettiest in England. Enjoy a snapshot of traditional English country life as wander along the river and snap photographs of Arlington Row; a set of weavers cottages now emblematic of the area.

You’ll stop for a hearty lunch in Bourton-on-the-Water, another gorgeous village, before reaching your final stop, Stow-on-the-Wold. Find out how this town inspired *Lord of the Rings* and enjoy free time browsing antique stores before you start the journey back to London.

Solo nightmare

Sejal_V, Apr 2026
I got lost finding my way back to the bus. The tour guide couldn’t wait. I did not get a reasonable response from the tour operator. They just told me to go back the way I came. I told them that didn’t work. No one called and luckily I found my way back to another bus. The second guide was very nice, Len. He made room for me and saved me.

Lovely day trip

Relaxing trip to multiple towns in the Cotswolds. The duration of each seemed well timed as some are beautiful but small. Bourton-on-the-water is the stand out here and is quite beautiful. Our guide, Liam, was an exceptional host. He is knowledgeable, kind, and has a great sense of humor. He took great care of us all.

The Lovely Cotswolds

Hollis_P, Apr 2026
We spent a lovely day traveling with Len to visit the beautiful Cotswolds. Len is a skilled driver. During our day, he shared many interesting facts about the area. He kindly added some "back roads" to our journey allowing us to see thatched cottages and sheep in bucolic areas. If you are ready to spend the day outside of London, this adventure is for you.

Well organized trip. Nigel was the host and was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He did a wonderful job. Nigel is a very nice man.

Great day in the countryside.

Stephan_L, Apr 2026
What a lovely day! Beautiful weather. Wonderful historical lesson as well. I would highly recommend this trip.

Lovely way to spend a day!

Rebecca_W, Apr 2026
A comfortable, two-ish hour ride (each way) on a small coach bus and stops at four charming villages, each with its own distinct character. Strolling, shopping and lunch make for a very pleasant way to spend the day

Wonderful tour with so much to see. Our driver/guide Liam was outstanding! He made the trip extra special. I highly recommend this tour.

A must do for the day!

secvt, Apr 2026
I am so glad I did this tour. Not a ong drive to the first "village". The tour guide gave some great info leaving the city and about each village. The time to visit each village was adequate and just right. A really beaytiful drive and villages.

Lovely day trip from London

Lisa_B, Apr 2026
I enjoyed the fact that the tour stopped at four different towns. Each one was a bit different and very interesting. The countryside is very serene and beautiful. I'm very glad that I went on this tour! Our tour guide, Nigel, was very knowledgeable and made the trip fun for the group.

Awesome day in the Cotswolds!

Marie_B, Apr 2026
We had a wonderful day with our guide, Christian. He was highly knowledgeable, sharing insights into English history throughout the experience and pointing out interesting sites along the way. He also provided thoughtful recommendations for things to see and do in each town we visited. He made the day both fun and entertaining. We highly recommend this tour of the Cotswolds.

Great full day tour.

Cliff_F, Apr 2026
Great day driving to and through the Cotswolds. Our guide was great with interesting as well as fun narrative. He made sure we had excellent directions on options at each stop.

Our Cottswald outing

Phillip_D, Apr 2026
I liked the pace of the tour to four small Cotswald villages and I enjoyed the size of the tour, that is a minivan.

Beautiful Cotswolds

Iwona_R, Apr 2026
Trip well organised in terms of logistics, well timed. I would have liked it more if the guide offered more information about the Cotswolds region and the villages we were visiting. The guide did not accompany us and did not say much during transfers from one place to another. I was under the impression that it was to be a guided tour but it turned out not to be.

Felt rushed throughout...

Kristyn_D, Apr 2026
Felt rushed throughout the day but the tour was a nice introduction to some of the best towns of the Cotswolds. Maybe too much information given along the drive - would have prefered additional quiet time or music.

Singing Guide

Sara_B, Apr 2026
Our guide David was wonderful! Lots of good stories to tell and he even sang to us! It was a grue treat!

Beautiful Journey

Nancy_W, Apr 2026
Absolutely beautiful scenery. The villages were well worth a look. Our drive, Anna, was outstanding giving out information and humor throughout the day. Anna was a terrific driver and very careful.

The Cotswalds, a step back in time!

Toni_C, Apr 2026
Fabulous trip! Our guide David gave us wonderful information and fun stories. He even sang beautifully to us. The cotswalds are amazing not to be missed. Lots of walking Thank you so much.

I recommend this tour

Frank is a great guide! All the stops were good. It is absolutely beautiful! I would recommend this tour.

Charming Cotswold

Deborah_P, Apr 2026
Chris was a great driver guide who provided lively commentary on the drive to Cotswold. The 4 villages were lovely and each one was unique. We had adequate time to browse in each village. The day was a highlight of my London vacation.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Each village really does have its own character, and Chris is brilliant at bringing that out. So pleased it became a highlight of your London trip - sometimes the best part of visiting a city is getting out into the countryside for a day! Cheers, James

This was a great tour to experience the more popular parts of the Cotswolds. The drive there and back from our tour host Liam made the 2 hour ride very enjoyable.

Lots of time in a bus,...

Gordon_M, Mar 2026
Lots of time in a bus, but the driver kept the trip interesting. The towns were all very worth seeing. It’s difficult to grab a bite to eat and see the shops given the amount of time given for each stop, but that is to be expected on a day-trip tour. All-in-all very with the cost and time to see these cute villages.

Cotswalds from London

Vic_V, Mar 2026
This was a lovely day trip with visits to four different villages. Each stop was just long enough for a snack and a visit to a store or two. David was a good guide with lots of knowledge about the area. My only complaint is he played his playlist of music in the van all the way there and back. We would have appreciated either a quiet drive, lively conversation, or listen to our own music or podcasts on our personal phones. But if you like jazz and show tunes, David is your guy.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Four villages with David sounds like a good day out, and pleased the timing at each stop worked well for you. Fair point on the music situation though - that's useful feedback. Jazz and show tunes all the way there and back isn't for everyone, especially when you're looking for a bit of quiet or conversation. We'll pass that along to David. Thanks for taking the time to share this! Best, James

Great tour and experience!

Jeff_W, Mar 2026
It’s a terrific and fun way to see the countryside of England. Tony was an excellent tour guide and made the day fun and enjoyable while pointing out the history of the area.

Wonderful Day Tour of Cotswolds with 4 Village stops

Dana_K, Mar 2026
Wonderful tour of the Cotswolds. It's a 2+ hour drive from London so you get a limited time in each village. But a perfect way to see a lot in a day. Our driver was Tony and he was amazing. He told us all the highlights and played a great British playlist on the drive. In between villages we got to see beautiful countryside. Tony was wonderful about filling us in on the sights along the drive. My favorite village was Bourton-On-the Water. We got about 1.5 hours here and a perfect stop for lunch and sightseeing!

Would recommend!

Gemma_G, Mar 2026
This was such a laid back and beautiful experience! The stops were all perfect. We got a perfect mixture of shopping, restaurants, and small picturesque towns. Tony gave the perfect amount of interesting info and was very happy to spend the day with us! I’d recommend this tour again!

Dreamy day trip

Camille_I, Mar 2026
This trip fulfilled my dream of traveling to the Cotswolds. The tour driver was full of humor and knowledge.

Good Cotswold Trip

Mike_P, Mar 2026
Tour organizers onsite were abrupt and rude. But once Kevin got us in his van it was a great trip. He had good knowledge and has a good instinct for what people want to see/hear.

Perfect scenery with the perfect tour guide!

Gino_U, Mar 2026
It’s a full day tour, in a very comfortable bus. The towns are all very quaint and wonderful to walk around in. Shops are beautiful, the cafe’s and food establishments are wonderful. The weather was cold and drizzly but that did not take away from the beautiful sights. And to top off this lovely experience was that our tour guide, Len was absolutely the best. Amazing driver, we felt safe throughout the long drive on many winding roads. His stories and explanations were truly delightful. He spoke clearly and slowly so all was understood! Thank you so much Len for making our tour today simply perfect!
