Fabulous tour and guide!
Loved this excursion! Rui was a fabulous guide. We spent the perfect amount of time in both cities. We had a lovely lunch in Monseraz and free time to explore the charming walled city and then enjoyed the multiple features of Evora including the ruins and the various churches (with a stop for yummy gelato along the way). Definitely 5 stars - highly recommend both the tour and Rui!

Evora was nice, but...
Evora was nice, but Monsaraz has breathtaking views. It is a far way from Lisbon, just to keep in mind, views amazing just being so far and enjoying other small cities more that Evora is why the 4 stars. The tour was seamless, picked up and dropped off at our hotel was great. Drive kind and friendly.

A wonderful experience
Joao (John) was a wonderful tour guide, very patient and knowledgeable. His love of Portugal and knowledge of Evora area was very apparent and welcome as well as his sense of humour. Highly recommend this tour with him

This was a nice tour....
This was a nice tour. Something good to do when you spend several days in Lisbon. The megaliths were nice but a bit underwhelming. Evora is pretty, the Chapel of Bones and Church are beautiful. Overall, good experience but not something to do when you only have a short time in Lisbon. The guide was great.

Excellent guide in a beautiful town!
Easy, informative walking tour of a beautiful city! Our guide was just the right host for our tour of Évora. Even slightly modifying the experience to suit our needs.

Day trip to Evora and Monsaraz
João was our tour guide and he absolutely killed it. Got picked up on time and as we drove out of the city toward Évora and Monsaraz, he told us about the history, agriculture, and significance of each place we stopped. He thought up more about cork, almonds, and castles, as well as traditions of old, showed us important significant landmarks, and gave us time to reflect.
Also, thanks for providing us with great weather. Couldn’t ask for a better guide.

Great tour! Diogo was a friendly, knowledgeable and flexible guide. This is a good way to get a window to the past and see it from different perspectives.

Our guide was Nuno, a personable guide who was very flexible with the itinerary and timing of the tour. He even added an extra stop to visit more megaliths after making sure that no one in the group had a pressing deadline. It was a nice day.

Time tripping.
A wonderful experience with two fantastic guides. Their knowledge of the site is extensive and very interestingly relayed. A momentary connection to 7,000 years ago.

When to visit

- Situated in the central Alentejo region, Evora can be very hot, so plan to wear a hat and sunscreen, if you’re visiting in the summer months.
- There’s a lot to see in the city, so bank on spending at least half a day here.
- Keep an eye out for the colorful Azulejo tiles that decorate many buildings in town.
