Budapest walking tour in heatwave
My big advice check the weather before you book this tour. The temperature was over 100 and it wasn’t that fun besides she the tour lady tried to make it as fun and interesting. But she was excellent and if you would love to learn about Budapest in short I would definitely recommend this tour. Short and interesting

Good experience on a unlimited Prosecco cruise
This particular cruise was on a small boat. Probably 60 people at most. I don’t know whether it was because the river water level was low or it was a weeknight in the summer or whatever.
The enclosed downstairs the boat had no air condition so sitting down, there was definitely out of the question. The upstairs probably had enough seating for 3/4 of the people which made it kind of first come first serve for a table with chairs. The staff was very friendly and the cruise was just about the right amount of time to see Budapest at night. For the price it was a pretty good experience.

You can walk Budapest. Or...
You can walk Budapest. Or you can ride it – and see far more of the city in far less time.
We booked the 3-hour All-In MonsteRoller tour. What won me over wasn't just the fun of riding – that part is guaranteed anyway – but how well the whole thing is run. Check-in and the safety briefing were professional and refreshingly straightforward, even for people who have never stood on one of these before. The rollers themselves were in excellent technical condition, with no issues at all over the full distance.
Our guide Balint turned a scooter ride into a proper city tour. He explains every landmark with real background knowledge and drops in dry, well-timed humour along the way. Never preachy, never boring – exactly the right balance.
With eight people, the group size was ideal: small enough that nobody gets left behind and every question gets answered.
You can see Budapest from plenty of viewpoints. But you rarely see this much of the city in three hours – and you rarely have someone explain it as well as Balint does.

Budapest done right!
We had such a wonderful experience with our guide, Petra. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, informative, and friendly throughout the tour. Her passion for Budapest really shone through as she gave us a fantastic overview of the city’s history and culture, answering all of our questions with enthusiasm and clarity.
The strudel and coffee were absolutely delicious and made for the perfect addition to an already excellent experience.
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Budapest, it’s a fantastic way to get to know this beautiful city.

It was a dark and rainy stormy night…
Really awesome tour in Budapest! My apologies, I don’t want to misspell our guide’s name, but she said it means “flower” in Hungarian. Our guide dressed the part and even brought a lantern to go with the theme. She was really great at telling stories about the history of Buda Castle and the legends that came from it. It started to rain half way into the tour and it just made it even more aligned with the theme! Really recommend this tour if you love history and mixed with some fiction. Side note: Countess Elizabeth deserves justice!

Greg was very...
Greg was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour of Budapest. He took us to all of the main sights, explained the history, and answered everyone's questions. The tour was a mix of walking and riding the tram/busses, and included a nice break for strudel and coffee. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a good overview of the city.

private tour covering all the main sites with guide providing masses of information about the history and meaning behind everything we saw. Zoli was happy to go at our pace and in as much detail as we wanted and really made the morning an enjoyable and worthwhile experience

Wonderful experience!
Krisztian was an amazing host and guide, and had incredible local and historical knowledge with a great personality. Even recommended local restaurants and cafes there were amazing. He asked what we wanted and delivered. Great part of our trip to Budapest.

We loved our walking tour...
We loved our walking tour with Marton! He was easy to find, walked at a good pace for us, and gave us excellent history and personal experience about Budapest. We were able to ask a couple questions to help us navigate the new city. We couldn’t believe the price, and tried our best to leave a generous tip! We would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent experience
The Free Walking Tour in the Buda Castle area was an excellent experience and a wonderful way to explore one of the most beautiful parts of Budapest. Our guide Panna was lovely, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout, bringing the history of the castle district to life with interesting stories and local insights. The architecture around Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, and the surrounding streets was absolutely stunning, with incredible views across the city at every turn. The whole experience was enjoyable, well-paced, and a great introduction to Budapest’s rich history and culture.

A great way to see Budapest from another perspective
A great way to see Budapest from another perspective, the service was great with welcoming staff. There is a modern check in point, waiting room and toilets at point of departure which made it feel like a elevated experience. The boat was comfortable and had the option of sitting outdoors on the top deck or inside with panoramic views. The audio guide was also useful and the optional stop at the island was great - I'd likely have taken this option if I had the time.

An excellent way to start your stay in Budapest!
This is a great tour! The guides are delightful, knowledgeable and engaging. By chance, I took the tour twice, and guides Juan and Claudia each made their tour special and exciting. • Please note that this is the same tour that the Big Bus includes with their ticket price. (and yes, I was fine to take the tour twice, as the guides make it special, and there is so much to see and experience). • Please consider writing reviews and tipping to support these wonderful guides. • (I believe this tour is also available free through LUNA TOURS- with the purple umbrellas. Please support the tour companies and the guides)
