Wonderful private tour with our very delightful and knowledgeable guide Anita. She did not rush us, and answered all of our extra questions. She was a font of knowledge about Budapest and Hungary. We enjoyed the tour immensely! It was worth every penny.
An incredible and detailed tour of the Pest side of the city. There were many hidden gems as the tour promised! Great history and insight from our guide, Anita. Stopping for a coffee and strudel during the tour was an extra bonus!
We loved learning about all the historical background of Budapest and the county of Hungary starting at the riverfront and walking through the city. With Petra stopping along the way to tell us stories, it allowed for us to ask questions and clearly hear and understand so much more about the people and the deep history in Hungary. We stopped for pictures along the way, and even went to a Strudel Shop and tasted local authentic strudel. It was definitely the highlight of our time in Budapest. Petra was informative, funny and full of information and suggestions of what to do after the tour. We would highly recommend this tour!
The tour was a highlight of our trip! Anita was easy to talk to and her knowledge of history, politics, architecture, etc was amazing. We learned so much along the way about a city and country with a really interesting history. The strudel halfway through was delicious and authentic as well. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone who’s looking to learn about the city as they see it!
Very good historical overview of the city by our tour guide Andi. The tour moved at a good pace and covered a good portion of the Pest side.

Our tour guide suggested starting at an earlier time than we booked the morning of due to the ticket office for the Basillica closing earlier. This would have been nice to know before the day of. Otherwise, Andrea was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. She was much more authentic than other guides and we learned a lot of history.

An excellent way to get to know Budapest in a quick 3 hour tour. Our guide Andi was amazing and gave us excellent insights into the history of this beautiful city.
This is a great tour of the essentials of the Pest side of Budapest. We were first time visitors to Budapest, and we found it extremely helpful as an introduction to the city. Our guide, Andrea, was friendly, informative, patient, and extremely enthusiastic about her city and about the tour. Highly recommend!

Our tour was excellent! Anita was a lovely, friendly and very knowledgeable Guide who showed us all the key highlights and gave us a thorough account of the past, along with an insight into life in Budapest now. This was all topped off with a visit to The Strudel House where Anita ordered a selection of both savoury and sweet Strudel. This time out gave us the perfect opportunity for Anita to share restaurant recommendations and general ‘getting about’ tips. Thank you Anita for helping us to plan what turned out to be a super week in beautiful Budapest!
Fantastic tour. Anita is a gem and has a wealth of knowledge. I learned so much more than expected about Budapest and Hungary generally. Plus, the strudel was amazing.
This was a good introduction to Budapest. A great way to spend our first morning in Budapest. We saw a few of the must see sights and learned a little of the history.
It really facilitates to focus in individual areas of interest. Anita is very enthusiastic and goes various extra miles.

I highly recommend taking this tour, especially if you’re new to Budapest and want to get a feel for the city’s charm. My sister and I spent the afternoon with Anita, and it was like walking the city with an old friend. She’s very warm and personable, and the tour felt effortless. I loved the intimacy of the experience — just the three of us walking and talking, and I feel like we got a real grasp of Budapest, which has helped us plan out the rest of our visit and make the most of out time. Anita also had great suggestions on what to see and restaurants to check out on our own. It was a great experience.
Anita was delightful. She was so knowledgeable and took us to unexpected places we would never have found if we toured on our own. She also gave us phenomenal recommendations for restaurants, public transportation, and other sites to visit during the rest of our stay in Budapest. Anita was relaxed and so hospitable. We are still eating leftover strudel from our tour.
Petra was an excellent guide, fun and knowledgeable. We chose the 5:00pm tour, but St. Stephen's Basilica closes at 6 so we were told we needed to reverse the itinerary to make it in time. We didn't see the Jewish Quarter or Simpla Kert, but instead we stopped for strudel.
I don't recommend the 5:00pm time, but the tour was excellent.

Walked for miles with 0 communication in between spots.
Even ended it early because it was so bad.
Good English though when she did talk.

If you have not been to Budapest before and you want an overall overview of the city highlights plus the history, this is the tour for you. It is a one on one tour, no hearing devices required, no flag to follow , no crowd to navigate. Our guide Petra was a local girl and very knowledgeable on the history.
This was our first visit to Budapest and did not know a lot of the city's history. Our tour guide, Anita Barta was exceptional. She walked us on a story from the very beginning of the city, including from the migration of the Magyars through the heartbreaking occupation by the Nazi's and the solum shoes memorial for the victims of the Holocaust along the shores of the Danube. We also experienced the transition from Soviet influence to today's independent Hungary, including visiting a statue of Ronald Regan in independence square! We had a delicious snack of local strudels and finished at a festive Christmas market at Saint Stephen's. Anita did an excellent job and we strongly recommend this tour.
Anita was a great travel guide! She was prompt, very informative, catered to our needs, and was delightful to be around!
