Tour Great…Ticket Handlers Not so Much

The tour portion was great and we enjoyed that part a lot. It was very informative and well organized. The two ladies handing out the tickets, however, were late and rude. They were supposed to be there at 11:30 am and they showed up at 11:45. That caused many people worry that nobody was coming. They were unorganized and then demanded my kids ID’s but my email confirmation never indicated I needed to provide that on site. I luckily had a photo of their ID’s on my phone. They insisted that it was in the confirmation email I received but it was not. We didn’t get our tickets until after 12 noon and the tickets said 12:15. Many if us were worried how long it was taking to get the tickets and that we would be denied entry. I love Viator (annd used it in many countries over the years) and this was the first time I ever had an issue. Maybe at this location it’s best to get tickets direct from Parliament. Again, the tour part was excellent but these two ladies in charge were awful.

The Parliament is Amazing...

The Parliament is Amazing and 100% recommended, but the organisation to get the final ticket is a complete mess !! We were advised to arrive 30 minutes before outside the info centre - the 2 ladies arrived 15 minutes before , so we asked several people about the meeting point , as no sign or anything outside … the ladies were unfriendly und had no sign saying Viator or something - just their names on their coats … so not “easy to find “ all other people from different countries who joined the tour were also upset

The tour packs in the right amount of history with facts about the construction of the building. Very interesting details and beautiful views of the inside - including the coronation regalia! Very glad we went.

The tour operator gets...

The tour operator gets you a ticket and gets you in the correct line and then the tour is provided by the parliament. I bought through viator because I had issues trying to buy it directly from the parliament website. Tour was fine and building was beautiful, but the tour audio is pre-recorded. I had issue finding the viator tour operator. The instructions were decent, but I was at the wrong visitor center door. I was on the river side door. Also, my viator instructions said the operator would have a sign, but it didn't tell me what the sign would say. I would book this tour again, just had a little panic meeting the group.

Easy Walking Tour of Parliament

Taxi dropped us off at wrong end of building. We had to move quickly to get to visitor entrance which is farthest (up river) from city center. Once we entered, all was well and tour was enjoyable. Takes about an hour.
