Viator made the experience very easy. Good communication, easy meeting place and guides took care of getting the physical tickets. The tour itself is very interesting and the Parliament building an important, beautiful building to visit.

The tour operators are strict about the arrival time, so definitely don’t be late. The parliament audio guide is very helpful- and we enjoyed the experience. Some of the audio regarding the statues was a bit confusing- but that’s not The tour guides fault. I would highly recommend this tour

Beautiful building rich in history. The tour starts on the top floor; don't be too proud to take the elevator! Sooo many steps and on a warm day it was killer.

Nice tour but trouble finding guide

Unfortunately the guide wasn't where she should have been. Luckily we got talking to an American couple who phoned the head office of Viator which was in America. They were told that the guide would be at the top of the steps, not the bottom where we were told to meet her. We went up the steps and couldn't find the guide. Eventually the guide turned up 15 minutes late at the bottom of the steps where she should have been all along. We were then 15 minutes late going into the Parliament building.

American trying to navigate Europe

The Hungarian Parliament is a nice place to visit. Buying your tickets through Viator is basically because they bought up all the tickets that were available to the public which would’ve been 50% off and you get there and then you wait outside and you have to get there too early. Then you stand in a group and they go through your passports and if you’re an American, they say you’re fine because you already paid a lot for the ticket anyway and then you basically just get in line and you go through so Viator does nothing for you. It’s literally just a marked up ticket in this case they don’t give you a tour actually you just use the actual audio tour from the parliament so try to go on the Parliament website and get your ticket yourself because this is just a markup. Unfortunately, they bought all the tickets in advance so that when you go on the Parliament website, there’s nothing available kind of a sham in my opinion.

Great and Easy Way to Tour Parliament!

My husband and I booked this tour through Viator, as the official website for Parliament tickets had limited availability and they did not have the date/time we wanted. Everything was so well organized, as we met in one location where the tour providers called each of our names for our tickets (there was a man and a woman who were delightful, but unfortunately, I've forgotten their names,,,). This also enabled us to skip the long line selling tickets for that day only, which were most probably sold out or later that evening. The Parliament tour is audio-guided and the staff at Parliament gave excellent instructions on how to proceed. It is such an important and beautiful building and no trip to Budapest would be complete without seeing it and understanding its history. Recommended highly, especially if you can't get the tickets on your own for the exact day you want.

Such a lovely building. The guides were easy to find and were clear in their instructions on how to enter. The parliament guides gave us plenty of time to look and take pictures where we were allowed to and clear when we were not.

Budapest Parliament

The Parliament building is absolutely stunning. I know why so many think this is a must see. A little confusing at the meeting point as we were told to be there 30 minutes ahead of time but no one from Vaitor showed up until 15 minutes later. Also would be nice if the Viator reps discussed the stairs and elevator option. By the time the tour guide informed us it was really too late.

Disappointed in the process of getting tickets

Very difficult to locate person. Standing outside in the heat wondering where they are. Helpful to have a banner/temp kiosk or something on show to know where to be. Asked to be there 30 mins prior. There no show until 15 mins after. No fun standing in the heat waiting and not knowing. Process then complicated not realizing they still had to get tickets for us. The tour was then 15mins later than advertised. Not an ideal process

Parliament Building Tour

We waited outside the visitor center till scheduled time. The entry process was a bit messy - some people have to bring their passports. We only toured one wing of the parliament building. It was grand and opulent. Comparable to a palace. The 45-minute tour was sufficient, but I will only do this tour one time. Some staircase (about 3 floors) climbing is required

Amazing to see the building inside and is a stunning building but only 45 minutes tour at most so seemed expensive and not value for money. Was good to see the crown but would not go back again

It's an audio-tour that you pick up after you go through their security section in which you can choose whatever language you want. It's very informative and you can take pictures of everything except King Stephen's crown but you can see it up close.

We purchased this only because the official website was sold out. It got us in, albeit at a higher price. Be aware that they are VERY serious about being on time. We witnessed a tourist show up two minutes late and they were rightly denied the tour so as not to hold the group up. The guide handled it well, but late is late.

Viator is only a go between for this tour. We were given conflicting times to arrive and for our tour time. The Viator guide was only a go between for obtaining tickets and the start of the tour. Rosen was very loud, boisterous and rude. Skip Viator and purchase your tickets on your own.

Too expensive

Viator charged 39,90€ instead of the regular price for EU-citizens of 18€. The parliament is impressive, but the audio guide information was so boring, that I kept nothing in mind

This is a well thought out audio guided tour, however it doesn't allow for being able to ask questions of a guide. What you see of the building is magnificent, but you dont get to see as much as I'd have liked. I'd say that as a non EU visitor, the cost is a little high for what you get. EU citizens have access to lower priced tickets, yes I know, we voted for Brexit, but it's basically a museum visit where we should all be charged the same. Overall, an interesting insight.
