Viator
Julia led a fantastic walking tour that showcased Budapest’s rich history and iconic spots. It was delightful to discover those charming little sculptures scattered throughout the city. Her stories about each landmark were both captivating and informative, making learning about Budapest a breeze. The pace was manageable, though it did start to wear on us after two hours. She also introduced us to the city’s public transport, including the bus and the adorable yellow subway. I believe the fare was included, but I might have overlooked that in the tour details. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

The tour guide was great. However we changed the starting point location with Viator and they failed to convey the information to the tour guide so we lost a half hour of the tour. The guide made it up to us by completing part of the tour by tram.

A good first day overview of Budapest. Enjoyed walking around the sites. We took the subway to the other side of the river and this made later navigating the public transportation system must easier. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and interesting.

We had a fantastic day with our guide Julia. She was extremely knowledgeable on everything on the walk and was so easy to listen to and chat to. It was like having a friend there in a walk. Julia took us to some great spots that we would have never discovered if we had been on our own. In summary we highly recommend this excellent personal experience and would do it again in a heartbeat.

My family had a wonderful tour of beautiful Budapest with Yulia. You can't really go to a city like this without getting the history and I don't think there's a better way to do it than a walking tour. Yulia went at our pace (which was important because we were with our nine year old) and was sure to cover the highlights we wanted to see. But wear your walking shoes, you will cover a lot of ground!

Agnes tailored the tour to our liking, and went to a bookstore/cafe and gave us time within the Bohemian part of Budapest to explore. She knew a lot of historical context and was able to provide a local's perspective on the ruin bars, advent, and more. She was not offended when we chose to cut the tour a little short so we could have lunch by the church and walk the market.

Lőrinc was an exceptional host for my 4-hour Budapest tour. He was knowledgeable, warm, and incredibly welcoming. I felt safe, as if I were exploring the city with an old friend. His English is excellent, and his worldly background, having studied in Japan and India. He was flexible and very agreeable, and after getting to know your preferences, he took the lead to make the most of the tour time. We visited as many attractions and sites as we could in our short time!
We explored the city by public transportation, visited historic landmarks, enjoyed beautiful views, and covered so much ground in a short time. Because it was a private tour, we moved at our own pace and tailored the itinerary exactly to what I wanted. Lőrinc was flexible, patient, and always accommodating.
I only had one day in Budapest, but thanks to him, I was able to see all the major attractions with clear, insightful history at each stop. I could not ask for a better way to explore the city. If I was doing this by myself, I wouldn't have been able to get from point a to b as quickly, and without the small details he was able to point out. It was perfect. Highly recommend! The walking tour gave me an opportunity to see this beautiful city up close. The city seems well planned out where it gives you many areas for pedestrians to walk in areas to just enjoy the view and the beauty. A lovely city. The mini statues were nice touch to learn about the artist, Mihály Kolodko. It’s such a fun addition to the tour to try to find these mini statues throughout the city. Thank you, Julia I learned about the history, culture and the charm of Budapest. I hope to come back and spend more time.

The tour was amazing. Our Guide Balazs was very knowledgeable, and really customized the tour based on our interests. If you have a short trip to Budapest planned and want an impactful experience go with this tour. Highly recommended! Only downside was on our confirmation the meeting place was different then that given to the guide. So make sure you connect with guide before your tour starts.

Private tours by a local are souch better than a group tour. Krisztian really tailored the tour to our interests. He was engaging and quite friendly. He even helped us take some photos at the different sight. He also shared some of the hidden gems of Budapest.
