Wonderful overview of city. Great way to start our trip and get a lay of the land. We received wonderful recommendations for food and things to see on our own.

This tour IS essential for first time visitors.

Susanjselby, Jan 2026
Zoli , our fabulous guide, was great! Animated, full of knowledge and also had all those little facts and antidotes we all love. As we visited Buda and Pest, expect a fair amount of walking and we also used the metro and bus. For info, over 65s can travel for free, you just need to carry ID, I had bought a 3 day pass Like many, we book a tour to both learn and help us decide on where we want to visit afterwards. You’ll be spoilt for choice, Budapest has a fascinating history and surprisingly tough rules for drivers! Thank you to Zoli for a great afternoon

Leisurely Private Walking Tour with Diana

Lloyd_F, Oct 2025
My wife and I spent three days in Budapest. Arriving in the morning from Prague, we had a 2 pm private tour that lasted about 3 1/2 hours. We walked from St. Stephen (Istvan) Basilica on the Pest side of the Danube (Duna) across the bridge to the Buda side. What we enjoyed was the leisurely pace since it was a private tour, yet we saw so much: the Parliament, Budapest Castle and all the buildings of import as well as some of the other important sights such as the shoes memorial on the Danube commemorating the shooting of thousands of Jews killed by the Nazi-aligned Arrow Cross party. The architecture of Budapest is spectacular and Diana pointed out the significance of the various sites. Highly recommended walking tour.

Phenomenal start to our few days here👍

This walk is one not to be missed. We learned so much about the city, the beautiful sites, and the history of Budapest in a few hours. Even though we have only been here for a short time, we really feel like we know the city. Now let me tell you all that we saw......not really. You'll have to experience it for yourself.

Excellent tour

Great introduction to Budapest

Leanne_B, Jul 2025
My friend and I did this walking tour on our first day in Budapest. Our tour guide Diana was very knowledgeable and we found the tour interesting and it included many of the main tourist sights which was what we needed as first time visitors to Budapest. All in all, we would definitely recommend this tour.

Beautiful Budapest

Madeleine_G, Jul 2025
Our guide Katalin, gave my husband and I a private tour of the city. We first visited St. Stephen's Basilica and then walked around different areas of the city. We then took the train to the Buda side. There we walked around different parts of the town, ending the tour in Fisherman's Bastion. Katalin was very nice and informative. We stayed in the area for a couple of more hours and had lunch. The only downside was that when we tried to visit St. Matthias church at 3pm, and they had closed it for the day. We had been told it was open until 5pm.

Outstanding Tour Guide.

Monica was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and had a passion for Hungarian history. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family. She only does small groups which is warm and intimate. Today was just my Mom and I… excellent experience.

Great tour!

A very insightful and detailed tour. Dalia certainly knew her history and the best parts to point out, the fact it was just us two on the tour was a bonus! Definitely recommended, especially for day 1!

This was a fantastic walking tour for an overview of the essentials of Budapest. The guide was not only very knowledgeable, but took the time to point out numerous sights not mentioned or indicated in most tour itineraries. We couldn't have asked for a better, more memorable experience.

Really enjoyed

Tracy_W, May 2025
We really enjoyed this 3hr walking tour with our lovely guide Kati. She has a great knowledge about the city and its history. She gave us lots of ideas of what else we could do. Very helpful and interesting. Thanks Kati!

Wow-What A Tour

Robert_B, May 2025
What a great tour we had with our guide Noemi. In 3 hours we covered pretty much everything on our list of things to see in Budapest. Noemi showed us everything from great vantage points and provided superb explanations and context. I have been on walking tours all over the world and this one was one of the best. Try and find a way to get Noemi as your guide. You will not be disappointed.

Walking is the best way to experience Budapest

DEGERHAN_U, Oct 2024
Budapest is a beautiful city. Liberty Square, Parliament building and Buda castle were our favorites. Walking and tram/subway are the preferred ways to experience the city, traveling in a tourist bus doesn’t do the city justice.
