Comprehensive, full day tour of Budapest with a knowledgeable guide.

This is a full day walking tour that covers many highlights of Budapest and covers a lot of ground. We travelled by bus, tram, and metro to get around the city. We walked several miles (18,000 steps on health app) so you need to have some stamina. Our guide Beata was excellent with perfect fluency in English. She was very informative with a large fund of knowledge about the sites and history of the city. We also learned about life in current day Hungary. We were happy to have her as our guide. We visited so many sites - see itinerary list. We did have a welcome lunch stop at the Strudel House, an excellent choice for local food. We were tired at the end of the day but satisfied to see so many great sites. Highly recommended but you need some energy.

The tour was a highlight of our trip! Anita was easy to talk to and her knowledge of history, politics, architecture, etc was amazing. We learned so much along the way about a city and country with a really interesting history. The strudel halfway through was delicious and authentic as well. Our driver communicated...

Our driver communicated clearly with us and was prompt and gave perfect instructions on where to meet. I was so impressed that when we were bumped off of our flight at the very last minute and arrived six hours later on a different flight, he still picked us up and didn’t cancel. He was so nice about the whole thing and we were so grateful he worked with us on the last minute arrival time change! Highly recommend!

Enjoyable!

The wine tasting was a wonderful experience and a great introduction to Hungarian wines. Unfortunately, we can’t remember the name of our facilitator, but he was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining the different wines, regions, and grape varieties. We really enjoyed the experience and learned a great deal about Hungary’s rich wine culture. We highly recommend this tasting to anyone interested in discovering and exploring Hungarian wines!

Best idea ever!

We had walked for hours several days in a row. This was a pleasure to have a day off our feet. We had a wonderful guide/driver MARTIN.. MARTIN took us all over Budapest. We would’ve never seen all the sites we got to see in the three hours of that tour. It was Great! I believe MARTIN made it an even better experience for us with his professionalism, kind, calm and caring demeanor. MARTIN was able to maneuver that TUK TUK with precision. We want to Thank Tuk Tuk and mostly MARTIN for making this a memorable experience for us.! I would recommend this to anyone visiting Budapest. This would be great for people that can’t walk all day, they would have the luxury of seeing a lot of Budapest even more than they’re walking friends. Either way if I come back to Budapest. I will definitely do a TUK TUK tour again, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting.. it’s fun!

Excellent tour. Sign up for the “grand tour” vs the “essential”. You see more of the Ghetto as well as a jewel of a smaller, 3rd, synagogue. The cemetery at the main synagogue is very thought provoking. Take your time. Guide was thoroughly knowledgeable and fluent in English.

Leisurely Private Walking Tour with Diana

My wife and I spent three days in Budapest. Arriving in the morning from Prague, we had a 2 pm private tour that lasted about 3 1/2 hours. We walked from St. Stephen (Istvan) Basilica on the Pest side of the Danube (Duna) across the bridge to the Buda side. What we enjoyed was the leisurely pace since it was a private tour, yet we saw so much: the Parliament, Budapest Castle and all the buildings of import as well as some of the other important sights such as the shoes memorial on the Danube commemorating the shooting of thousands of Jews killed by the Nazi-aligned Arrow Cross party. The architecture of Budapest is spectacular and Diana pointed out the significance of the various sites. Highly recommended walking tour.
