What are people saying about Boston

Melissa_P, Apr 2026
Totally worth it.
We don’t usually do the “tourist-y” things when we visit a city. We like to get to know it. But this wasn’t too tourist-y. It was awesome. Is it politically incorrect? Yes, Was there a lot of cursing? Yes. Was the food amazing? Yes. Such a cool way to see North Boston with the kids. Our tour guide grew up right in the heart of the area we were in, and had so many great stories that you won’t read in all the tourist pamphlets. We aren’t easily offended and it was a good time for everyone. I wouldn’t bring any kids under 13, like it says - unless they like the entertainment of it all! My kids both had an amazing time. I also ate the best sandwich of my life.

Better than a bus tour!
We spent 5 days touring Boston and this was, hands down, our favorite experience! No kidding. It topped the aquarium, bus tours and even the art museum. The tour guide is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to field all of our questions as we walked. On a side note, our 18yo daughter (jaded by social media ‘news’) is a fact-checker hobbyist. She dug deeper into a number of things when we got back to the hotel and was impressed by the accuracy. (Surprisingly, the bus tour perpetuated several inaccuracies and wives tales!) The walk was easy, even for the duration. Inside tips for restaurants and local attractions were helpful, even though they are not officially part of the tour. We appreciated that the tour group is kept small. The smaller size allowed for a more intimate experience, easy dialogue and the ability to accommodate the needs of individuals (like walking at the pace of slowest person and stepping inside a building for a moment to warm up while he talked about the massacre.) He also does a wonderful job of ‘setting the scene’, really walking us through the history and growing tensions that led up to the revolution. You really get to know these historical figures! Highly recommend! I would honestly like to do the same tour again to hear slight variations in the script, so to speak.

Fun and memorable tour!
The tour is run directly through Fenway Park and has quite a few people each group. However, the guide did a great job ensuring that everyone had a great and informative experience. We especially enjoyed going into the museum portion and sitting at the Green Monster!

Loved it! Thank you
Lovely and very informative tour. Our tour guide Paul (maybe Pal) was absolutely the best! He was very kind and knew so much about Irish history and catered to our group as best as he could. Well worth the money!! I was at the wrong meeting point and my tour guide helped catch us once we found the group and we were able to contact the tour company and they made sure we had clear directions and even called the venue to help us find our group!

Boston’s revolutionary past, elegant architecture, scenic harbor, and great food make a potent mix. Topping the history agenda are tours of the Freedom Trail, a 16-point route around the city’s American Revolution sites, followed by hop-on hop-off trolleys, boat-and-bus combos, and harbor cruises that deliver varying perspectives on the city, old and new. Next come special-interest Boston tours: Explore the Tea Party Ships museum, Cambridge’s Harvard campus, and baseball’s Fenway Park; savor the city's beloved seafood and Italian-inspired dishes; and join ghost-themed trolley rides. Then, if time allows, cast your net wider by heading to nearby Salem or Martha’s Vineyard.
