What are people saying about Berlin

Cannot fault this tour. Strong recommend!
What a fantastic tour. Jorg was an amazing guide whose knowledge of the buildings and sites was phenomenal. His explanations of the history of the city at the start was an excellent set up for us to understand how the city has changed over the years and how it has been shaped.
We saw all the main sites of historical Berlin and great stories about so many places. Plus, Jorg explaining how his upbringing was affected and what he thought of various things that happened made it really personal. He also walked at a great pace so all could keep up and even swerved us around a protest!
Cannot fault this tour. STRONG recommend!

A Fascinating, Sobering Tour Through History
I almost decided against going on this tour, but I'm glad I went. Of course the subject matter of this tour is very serious, and when most people are on vacation they aren't looking to do things so emotionally heavy, but I would recommend this tour. My tour guide was Ronja, who was an excellent guide. We met as a group of around 17 people outside the train station. After covering some basic info, including having Ronja take stock of who had train tickets and who needed to get one in the station, we headed to the platform. She helped those without tickets in purchasing one, then we boarded the train to the station nearest the camp. After arriving, Ronja made sure everyone made it off the train and re-grouped before walking around 10-15 minutes through town to the site. She allowed some time for a bathroom break, before beginning the tour. The tour itself was very matter of fact. The subject matter is sad enough on its own, so I appreciated the straightforward telling of the history of the place. History about Sachsenhausen was interwoven with information about other locations, as well as a recounting about how the camp came about, how it existed during WWII, as well as what happened there afterwards. It was very fascinating to see, despite being so tragic. Again, Ronja was a fantastic guide, as she was not only very informative during the tour, but also friendly and helpful. She was open to every question, and actually said she enjoyed the very few questions she didn't have an answer for, as it gave her a reason to look something up. Sometimes she even looked some of the questions up on the spot on her phone during some downtime, though she was also open to admitting that she didn't have all the answers to such a vast topic. Also, as mentioned a bit before, she was very helpful with the transit, such as after the group arrived back in Berlin, she was helping point people to their best train options so they could get where they needed to go. Although Sachsenhausen doesn't have the name recognition as some of the other camps, I highly recommend both visiting and this tour specifically. As Ronja mentioned at the end of the tour, it is important to visit these locations and keep the memory of this part of history alive.

Our tour guide, Paul,...
Our tour guide, Paul, made things relatable and understandable without information overload. Our break was awesome - wonderful coffee and pastries and no extra charge to use the bathrooms! Loved where we ended the tour and took the opportunity to read the story boards. Wear suitable shoes and clothes for walking.

Katia and the Potsdam tour were amazing!
I had a wonderful experience on Katia’s Potsdam walking tour. From the very beginning, Katia was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She has a real passion for the history and culture, and it shows in the way she tells stories and brings the city to life.
The tour was perfectly paced, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful sights while learning fascinating details about the city’s past. Katia shared interesting historical facts, and local insights. She was also very happy to answer questions and made everyone feel included.

Enjoyable, informative and relaxing tour
Yasmine our guide made this tour very enjoyable. She is very knowledgeable and talked enthusiastically about a multitude of things including the buildings, history and the landscape of the areas as we travelled to Potsdam around Potsdam and back to Berlin. En route we stopped briefly at the infamous Glenicker bridge between East and West and then the impressive Neues palace where the young Princess Victoria spent time. The inside of Sansoussi palace is definitely worth seeing it's so beautiful. It wasn't the best time of year to visit the outside as it was snowing a little but one could imagine the beauty of it in spring and summer. Thanks to Yasmine and her careful driver.

Serious History, Expertly Guided
This was a deeply moving and thoughtfully curated day. My daughter and I spent the day visiting the concentration camp memorial and Potsdam, guided by Whalid, who was exceptional. He was highly knowledgeable, sensitive to the gravity of the sites, and able to explain the complex historical layers of Berlin and Germany with clarity and care. What stood out most was how attuned he was to our pace and needs — never rushed, always respectful, and willing to tailor the day so it felt both manageable and meaningful. An important, educational experience that we will carry with us.

Brilliant bike tour
A bike tour is a great way to orientate yourself in a new city. Michelle our guide was so knowledgable on the history of Berlin and we learnt so many interesting facts at each stop that we would never have known otherwise. We always look to do a bike tour in each new city we visit and this was one of the best we have done.
Thank you Michelle the bike ride was the highlight of our weekend.

Potsdam in a day
This was a lot of walking but we got a good overview of Potsdam and some of its history. Paul was a good guide and informative of the area. Difficult on a hot day with 20,000 steps by the end. Loved the Barberini museum. Didn’t do inside of palace but you would need to book that for a 2.15pm entry to the palace.

Do it!!
Amazing! So much fun!! Orlando was a great guide. I felt very safe and we got to see all of the sites. The cars are tiny and have no shocks, so you feel every bump. Who cares! Totally worth it. I’d go again in a heartbeat.
Don’t forget your license, and be prepared to make a refundable deposit (either 500 or 1500) to take the cars out.

Rueben was very...
Rueben was very knowledgeable about Berlin’s history. He was easy to understand and made the details easy to digest!
He was also very flexible as we had an unforeseen situation to deal with at the beginning of our tour and he handled with ease. Definitely recommend.

Fun family experience
There is a fun story about traveling in the Arctic. We did this with our whole family including a 5 year old and 14 year old and we were all entertained. It was very cold, but they give you gloves and a coat. Terrific pics once inside. The drinks were just so so, limited choices and some were very fruity, but its the whole experience that is worthwhile.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
There’s plenty in Berlin to keep you busy, from its history to its nightlife, street art and cuisine. On Berlin day trips, you escape that urban energy and discover the historical attractions and picturesque towns that lie beyond the city; explore the UNESCO-listed palaces and gardens at Potsdam, visit the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum, or see Dresden’s baroque architecture and art collections. Many tours include round-trip transportation, expert guides, and skip-the-line access to attractions, so you can maximize your time outside the city, but return in time for dinner.
