Whole family enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Rhys, was very flexible, adapting to kids’ need to play in snow! He was also really informative in an engaging way bringing history of the city and its paradoxes to life. Felt like being shown around a friend’s home city.

Excellent walking tour around Mitte. We did this on our first full day in Berlin and we were not disappointed. Visited key sites in old East Berlin including the Reistag, checkpoint Charlie, holocaust memorial and the place of Hiltler's bunker. Ciaran was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Definitely would recommend

This is one of the most personal, informed, comprehensive and absorbing tours I have ever participated in. From making imposing buildings relevant to enabling one to access confronting emotional but critical historical incidents Ciaran excelled. Putting historical information and living memory history into digestible stories is a skill and Ciaran certainly managed this. I would recommend his tour to anyone. In addition his generosity in sharing his knowledge and stories was exceptional…so a very satisfying day.

Rhys was awesome and gave us deep context for many of the key historical and cultural sites. We never felt rushed and basically had an ongoing conversation about Berlin and how it has shaped and been shaped by history. If you don't have much time in Berlin, I strongly recommend considering a private tour like this!

Great tour with a lot of history. Cairin catered to our diverse group in age of 14-82. He gave the teenagers a break to go down a slide in a mall which broke up the day for them. History and depth of knowledge was amazing.

Julian was a great guide. He downloaded a lot of history in this tour. If you are interested in a more comprehensive historical view of Berlin, I highly recommend taking this tour. The only thing that would make it better would be a little personalization.

This was a private tour and our tour guide (Paul) was great. Although he is of Irish heritage, his knowledge of Germany/Berlin was quite impressive and his comprehend of the German language was likewise. We continued to ask him questions on both subjects throughout the tour and he provided logical and when necessary detailed responses. There was no area which his knowledge did not extend too. Not like other walking tours in other capital cities we have previously undertaken, his responses did not feel like that it was just another tour and he was just going through the motions. He has a welcoming and accomodating personality. He tailored the tour to our pace and areas of interest. No aspect was not addressed by him.
For a couples/ small groups I would highly recommend the tour. We are in our 60's and have travelled extensively.
