Epic adventure to the centre of the world!

Another bucket list item ticked off! This was a great day out to one of the most wonderful places in Greek history. We walked all the way to the top where the stadium is and my hubby had a broken metatarsal so was wearing a moon boot but still managed it. Then to turn around and walk back down the view is stunning! The trip was very well organised and the meeting point was very easy to find and walk to. Please don’t go to Athens and miss this, you will regret it!

Booked the tour for June...

Booked the tour for June 4. Left Athens at 4:30pm. Back in Athen around 10:10pm with 2 hours at the Temple of Poseidon. Arrived at the temple at 6:40pm and left the temple at 8:50pm. It is enough time to visit all spots around the temple and its surroundings. There is a restroom in the restaurant at the base. The view from the hills behind the restaurant overlooking the setting sun, the Temple of Poseidon and the ocean all together is perfect after 8:15pm in early June. Recommend to visit the temple first upon arrival and then climb the hills behind the restaurant for the last 30-40 minutes of the time there to enjoy the sunset. Highly recommend the trip. It is a very high ROI (return on investment) day trip from Athens. Bus ride is comfortable and cost is very economical. Spent low $20 USD for a 6-hr unforgettable memory (entrance fee not included). How else can you beat that?

Amazing landscape not to be missed!

Trip to Meteora was amazing. The rock formations along with monasteries built atop is so unique and stunning. Very much worth the 14 hour investment of time and a good value. Maria along with our driver were fantastic. Maria is a local with amazing knowledge, personality and language skills. Her informative history and knowledge could not have been better. Our driver navigated the twists and turns with ease. The moussaka, Greek salad and spinach pie was top notch. The first and last rest stop had excellent food as well. Tour exceeded expectations.

Great Crew; Great Trip

Overall, the experience was amazing. The crew was great! The food was great! The views were great. The number of people was only 11 plus the crew, so it was easy to get to know people. The stops were good. Don’t expect a lot of sea life during the swimming stops. You can snorkel, but the locations are such that not a lot of sea life was present. I would still repeat the trip, and recommend it.

We spent a fabulous day touring the city with the best guide Demetris. The sites were amazing and Demetris timed everything perfectly getting us to places early before the big crowds arrived. He is so intimately knowledgeable about the history of Athens as he is a lifelong native. Being guided by someone who has such a deep understanding of the area results in a much better tour experience. Ask for Demetris! You will be delighted and not disappointed.

Our tour guide Michail is an accomplished story teller and entertainer. He afforded his group the opportunity to learn about the mythology and reality of Ancient Greece and Delphi. Our tour was paced with restroom breaks, climbing the hillside of Delphi and experiencing the ruins, lunch in picturesque Arachova all while Michail educated us in an informative and witty manner. Thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Perfect day

Amazing. At one point they anchored the boat and got to swim and snorkel in the Sardonic Gulf. Agestrika is a small island village that has a trail up the hill. Aegina is a bigger port town with many cafes as well as a beach to the left. One: suggestion bring covering to avoid sunburn and also pants or sweats for the wind which chills.

Delphi full day trip

Lily and Friday were amazing guides. Our trip to Delphi was so much richer thanks to Friday taking us through the museum first. Lily filled us in on so much history and mythology during the 2+ hour ride to Delphi. So glad we chose Delphi over the other full day trips as the antiquities found in Delphi were incredible. Had the best meal of many good meals at the Taverna we ate at in New Delphi (Bouka maybe).

Awesome way to spend last day in Athens

It was the last day in Athens and it was such a great idea to take this trip and be taken to 3 very different places to discover their history and Nafplio is such a cute town that’s very Instagrammable! Alex is a super guide and I regret he does not go into the site for detailed explanations as he is very well versed in the history and George is a safe driver who got us everywhere. Highly recommended to all.

Knowledge guide and great tour

We met our guide under the Arch of Hadrian. After gathering the group (about 14 people), we headed to the Acropolis entrance and began the tour. It lasted a little over two hours, including time to get everyone through the line. The guide was organized, using a map and managing tickets for the group. We made around 8 stops along the way, where they shared context about different areas. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and answered questions clearly. It was quite cold and windy, especially as we climbed higher toward the Parthenon. Once we reached the top, the guide gave a brief overview and then allowed time to explore, take photos, and leave at our own pace. Overall, it was a well-run tour and a good way to learn more about the history and mythology of the site.
