We had a fantastic experience with Our Amsterdam Canal. The boat was comfortable and the views were beautiful, but what really made the tour stand out was our guide Mark—he was both funny and incredibly informative. His stories and humor made the history of Amsterdam come alive, and we left feeling entertained and having learned a lot. Highly recommend this canal tour!

This was exactly what our family wanted! It was the first thing we did in Amsterdam and it was great to learn some history and see some beautiful sites. Our guide was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam with a great sense of humor. We would absolutely recommend this tour.

Taking a canal tour in Amsterdam was easily one of the highlights of my trip. Nould was knowledgeable without being overwhelming, sharing interesting stories about the city’s history, architecture, and culture in a way that felt engaging and natural. Urination, Profanity, and Zero Oversight on a Canal Cruise

After a 10-hour flight, I was looking forward to a relaxing, scenic introduction to Amsterdam. Instead, my very first night of vacation was ruined by a group of six intoxicated young men who were loud and obnoxious, leaving those of us seated nearby appalled, shocked, and uncomfortable for the entire hour. The situation went from bad to worse — at one point they dared one of their group to drink canal water for $7.50, he did, and then announced he was going to be sick. It then escalated further when one of them urinated into a cup inside the boat while his friends circled around him. It took other passengers — not the captain — to intervene and insist they at least cover him with a blanket. Two mothers and daughters seated near us were equally horrified. The captain pointed out a couple of landmarks at the start of the cruise, then went completely silent for the remainder of the trip — making no attempt to narrate the tour or address the disruption happening right behind him. I specifically booked a sightseeing cruise, not a party boat. Management needs to enforce basic standards of conduct onboard. You cannot make this stuff up.n

As a local I’ve been on a handful of canal cruises whenever I have visitors and I would say that this cruise has been the best. I really like the small group atmosphere because you can interact easily with the skipper and actively ask questions. Our skipper Mike was really great, friendly, outgoing, and taught us a lot about the city! We really enjoyed the conversations and the ride was gezellig - we recommend taking this tour, especially with Mike!

Boat is open and not covered. It's a small boat which is nice and intimate. There are plenty of blankets which was much appreciated as it was cool and windy. Mark was a great guide and kept us entertained and informed throughout the trip.

Hello, Great tour and knowledgeable/understandable guide. Great experience learning about the city. Marc was an amazing guide. He has personality, well-spoken, knows his stuff, but one of his greatest characteristics is his interpersonal skills. He found out where everyone was from and found a way to connect their country, history, geography, etc. to his tour. I do have some improves though. Others are stating the same thing. Fix these issues and you would be getting 5s all around. 1. The Google Maps takes you off about half a city-block away. My family and I (with a toddler) were scrambling to locate the meetup point. 2. Another issue with that after going to the wrong location was the flag/banner. Trying to find this flag/banner after being in the wrong location is difficult. As you come out to the tunnel you see all the other banners at eye-level. However, with this company the banner was below the ground/stairs level. The banner didn't pop up or above where people would've popped out of the tunnel and saw. I would advise raising the banner level or just get two with an arrow pointing down the stairs and add in the description sometime to the effect of "after the tunnel, look over the edge and right there is our banner." Overall, great and would recommend to others.

A small electric boat with a live commentary from a local experience boatman. Due to the size of the boat it was able to get into some of the older and smaller canals. Even though the trip was during November blankets and hot drinks aboard kept chill away.

The tour was amazing and JJ was very knowledgeable! He answered all my questions and was very humorous as well. I don't recall the co captains name, but he was really nice and friendly, and also very knowledgeable. It was an awesome tour and a must do while in Amsterdam! Seriously 5/5 for the tour and drinks. They also give blankets and pillows! Def recommend this tour! My only reason for the 4 star was that the description stated to look for the "dark green flag, eco line boats, and blue jacket members" and the directions stated "Station 18". Well, There was no green flag, I don't remember seeing eco lines on the boat and if there was then the letters I don't think are that big, and if they are, then they are hidden by the dock when roped up. Their outfits are a dark navy blue almost black and Google maps takes you to station 18 like it's stated in their directions....i guess what I'm saying is it wasn't exactly easy to find the tour when there's a bunch of other boats in the area, the green flag would've been nice. I ended up asking another boat captain and he pointed us down to them, we were further down the dock about 4 boats away, but it just seemed like an unnecessary stress. It's a nit pick maybe, but if you guys read these reviews, for dummies like me please have a green flag or something that sticks out better to help us 😎🤙🏽

Jean Paul was a great guide. Very friendly. He is a local, born and raised in Amsterdam, and knows everything there is to know. It was cold and rainy, but they had blankets and the boat was covered. It’s a small boat with fewer people than the other boat tours, which was nice. I would recommend this tour.
