Over crowded and we were...

Over crowded and we were forced to siit outside by the toilet. The QR code to hear tour from phone did not work. It was very cold and we learned no history.

The boat ride itself was fine, didn't get much views of the sunset from left side of boat. Hard to really hear much via headphones. We did the wine & cheese box... disappointed with that. The wine bottle was fine, but there were huge chinks of cheese which didn't have much flavor and no crackers..the nuts mix was just ok. Wouldn't recommend this addition.

We thoroughly enjoyed our canal cruise. We had head sets that gave us important information on various landmarks as we passed them. The skipper/ guide was also very informative, adding to the information as well as sharing other interesting facts about landmarks as we passed. It was a great way to introduce us to sights on our first day in Amsterdam.

We enjoyed a bottle of wine, along with plenty of cheese and mixed nuts as we explored Amsterdam from the canals. We listened to an audio recording of interesting facts (many languages available) but honestly we had such fun visiting with other passengers that we didn’t pay too much attention (and we had been in Amsterdam a couple of days touring).

If you are looking for a boat ride to take you by beautiful buildings and through canals with little commentary, this is the excursion for you. If you are hoping to learn history and interesting information about the many buildings as you pass by, you will be disappointed. The pre-recorded commentary is limited and there is no one to answer questions. 2 stars. Save yourself money and hire a boat tour with a live guide.

This was nice. Very relaxing. It was nice that they could accommodate all the different languages through a headphone and speaker option. The evening option was ideal because it would’ve been too hot in a covered boat during the day so I am glad we did an evening tour very comfortable and everyone was very nice. The cheese and wine was average but nice to have a snack on the ride.

Nice alternative view of the city on a smooth sailing boat. If you want to see the city lit up at night in the summer, good luck. We did the 7 pm tour and it was bright as day. Still very nice.

Informative, relaxing tour of the canals and major waterwqys. It was helpful to get oriented with landmarks, museums, and local "experiences." The snacks were an added bonus as the cheese was plentiful, the nuts were varietal and wine was a chilled, full bottle of chardonnay (there were three choices of wine).

They should reserve the seats by ticket number. We didn't get to sit together as a family. 2 of the family members have motion sickness so they have to face the front of the boat. It would have been easier if we could sit together.

The tour was lovely with a nice bottle of wine, tasty cheese and friends. We were given headsets, so got the history of the area. I would highly recommend. We went after dinner so it was still light at 8pm.

Tour was on Kings day so canals were extremely busy and boat had to sail an alternate route. Captain was knowledgeable of the canals and we really got a great tour of Amsterdam.

We were not aware that the wine and cheese on the tour would be a bottle of wine handed to us and a package of cheese. No one explained that there was an audio track available on the boat to describe the tour, so we had no guidance as to what we were seeing. The route, of course, was beautiful through the canals. However, a bit more organization would’ve been better.
