Great tour of an amazing city!

Fun way to see the sea caves

Fun excursion from the marina to see the caves from a better viewpoint, entering the caves with a max of 6 kayaks. You will get wet from small waves. Have waterproof phone case (or tuck it in your life jacket). 2 people per kayak with an option to swim from the catamaran after kayaking. You don’t need to be good at paddling-the guide will teach you. This was a light to moderate activity.

You are teamed up in pairs so if you have a small child: you’re doing all the paddling. Relatively easy though. Gorgeous cliffs only witnessed From the sea and not from the 7 Hanging Valleys Trail Hike. The leader Caio , on a SUP, is also a geologist so we benefited from great insight in the coastal formations.

This tour with Lagos Grotto Trips exceeded our expectations. Our captain, Luis, handled the boat with real skill and precision, making the experience both thrilling and very safe, while Hugo made sure everyone was comfortable and had a great view throughout. We were taken inside the caves and given enough time to really enjoy them and take photos—something not all tours allow. They also made an effort to position the boat so everyone had a good view, which we appreciated. A rare highlight: we were taken farther out and were lucky enough to see whales, which made a great tour truly special. No improvements come to mind—would absolutely book again.

A fantastic few hours exploring the caves of the Algarves

We were on tour with two knowledgeable guides, André and Martim. They did a fantastic job getting us ready on the pier and letting us know what to expect. During the tour, they provided lots of details about the coastline and the caves. We went right into a number of the caves and even sang happy birthday in a very echoy cave to one of the other people on the boat. We had plenty of time inside the Benagil Cave to take in the epic space, take pictures, and learn about its significance. The boat was comfortable but not quite fast enough to outrun the rain that we sailed into just before reaching the pier again. Although we were wet, it did not detract from the amazing tour. Thank you, André and Martim, for doing a fantastic job guiding, and thank you, Sarah, for communicating with us when the timing was changed. I highly recommend booking with them.

Fabulous

My husband and I did a tour of the Benagil Caves in a ribbed boat with Bruno. We had debated about whether to do it in a ribbed boat or Catamaran and are so happy we chose the ribbed boat as it could go into so many other caves and areas that the Catamaran wouldn't be able to. Bruno and the captain were fantastic. Highly recommend!!

Exceeded Our Expectations

Tour took place on a fairly new, comfortable 40’ cat boat. Captain and crew were very friendly and knowledgeable as we boated by tall weathered cliffs and beaches. A healthy generous lunch with drinks were provided when we anchored. The tour exceeded our expectations. I recommend it especially when the weather is calm and sunny, as ours was.

The crew on the boat were very engaging. We saw several groups of dolphins. That’s where I’m all around the boat somewhere so close you could almost touch them. And the caves are spectacular. Amazing coastline and the...

Amazing coastline and the caves were unique! The boat ride can get a little rocky if you get seasick - we didn’t mind it at all. We paid extra for seats up top but wouldn’t do that again - not for us seniors! The captain was very helpful and gave us info on the area and any questions we had. Would definitely do it again!
