This is a fantastic tour - we got to see dolphins really close to the boat and then the Benagil cave and the Algarve coastline / rock formations were spectacular. The team on the boat was helpful, made the trip insightful and fun for us. Highly recommend

It was an amazing ride in the rough Atlantic sea ,but was all worth it. The skippers chased the dolphins for a long time to ensure we can spot them .Recommend it.

This was such a good and enjoyable experience from start to finish and seeing the dolphins with their babies was the icing on the cake. Enjoyed every minute, even the bumpy ride back to Lagos! Such fun and such a lovely crew too.

We saw dolphins! Never a guarantee, so we truly enjoyed seeing the pod of mothers and kids. Boat was comfortable, and Benagil caves very cool. Recommend: pack a jacket! It's cold heading out to see the dolphins, regardless of how warm it is back in Lagos! Worth everything though!

Fantastic tour on a good sized boat. The pod of dolphins we saw was amazing and the caves are beautiful. The process was really streamlined and all the crew and staff were extremely professional. Overall you won’t be disappointed when booking this tour. Great trip for kids !!

Very Nice Dolphin & Coastal Boat Tour

The biologist was our guide. She gave good safety tips and information about the dolphins. Everyone enjoyed seeing the dolphins, and the beautiful Bengail (sp?) Cave. We also traveled along the beautiful coastline. There were seats for everyone, and they serve soft drinks, beer, and chips.

We Lucked Out!

This was so worth it. We lucked out and saw at least 100 dolphins. And we got to see the various caves along the coast from Lagos, including the famous Benigil Cave. Our boat had around 40 people and we got to go right into several caves. I was awestruck by the natural beauty and felt very fortunate to see so many common dolphins, including many young ones. The crew were friendly and great, and the look of amazement on the marine biologists face told the story. She was very gratified to see such a large and healthy population. The dolphins swam right beside our boat playfully. This was the highlight of our trip to Portugal so far and I can't recommend it highly enough. Just superlative.

A fun adventure

This excursion is a lot of fun and very worth doing. However, everyone should double check the time of the excursion. Our confirmation said it was at 9 and to be there 15 minutes early. The departure had been changed to 9:30 nd we were never notified. Also there was “ a long line” at the gas station so the boat left not until 9:50. It seemed disorganized and we were standing on the dock for an hour waiting to leave.

Stunning day! Don’t pass this trip up! We saw lots of dolphins before heading to the coastline to experience the caves! Our guides provided education on dolphin life as well as points of interest along the coastline! Wind breakers were provided as we experienced a few minutes of rain. Be prepared for some bumps as you make the 45ish min trip out to where the dolphins are, and the 30ish min trip back to the coastline. It’s absolutely worth it!

Seeing the caves and up close with the dolphins. The biologist was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Boat ride was not too choppy but no life jackets required.

We were very pleased to see dolphins up close, and there was plenty of time to watch and take photos. Communication from the team was great, with very interesting commentary. We couldn’t get very far into the caves because of the size of the boat, but they were still interesting.

I honestly can say that I don't think that anything could have been done better. Bom dia was extremely organized and they made sure that everyone had a jacket because it was going to be cold out on the water. If people didn't have their own, they were given a red windbreaker. The crew was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were really lucky as there was no shortage of dolphins to see, and the marine biologist answered all the questions that we had. I would highly recommend doing the combination dolphin and cave tour instead of just booking the caves. The whole trip was the perfect way to experience the gorgeous Algarves. And all the reminders and instructions from Viator were extremely helpful! Obrigada!

We experienced a nice tour on the sea this cloudy October Sunday with very nice marine expert guides. We got the chance to se many dolphins, even small ones and a pregnant one. And the caves are stunning in its self. We brought our children, age 9 and 7. A tour highly recommended!

This was absolutely outstanding and my most enjoyable experience in Lagos. The biologist knew so much about the dolphins and we saw about 100 of them! They seemed to literally be performing for us! She gave us so much insight including pointing out a tiny baby . The Benegil caves are absolutely spectacular and the boat literally went right inside several caves allowing us to get such a good look and many photos. The scenery all around the caves, including the old lighthouse is just stunning. It’s a 2 and a half hour tour so it very good value. Very reasonable price for how long it was. The lady at the dock is also very kind and helpful. LOVED IT!!

Seeing two types of dolphins was the highlight and knowledge of biologist helpful. Exploring caves also amazing. A beautiful sunny day! One hr delayed due to technical issues with boat Also we had two people in our group cancel and advised operator but had difficulty connecting with Viator to get refund or credit.

This was a great way to travel to see the caves and the dolphins. We lucked out with so many dolphins today! The views were great and all in all a nice afternoon! It is a bit choppy on the water at times but that adds to the fun. The staff provided great information. Thanks!

Great tour, saw tonnes of dolphins, no cover on the boat so wear lots of suncream or bring long sleeves if you crisp up like me.

We had the best time searching for common dolphins and touring the caves along the coast! The boat was very comfortable for the whole family. Traveled with toddlers and a senior grandparent. Adriana the biologist was wonderful and provided lots of good information about the dolphins. Her counterpart was very knowledgeable about the Algarve coast!

Excellent excursion, party of 10. Four adults and six children. Boat was clean, lifejackets and safety demo. We hit the jackpot and saw a large pod of dolphins and the added bonus of seeing a whale ! The excitement on board. After that we were able to enter the spectacular Benagil cave, and enjoyed the remainder of the tour along the coast entering and coming close to many other caves along the way. Well narrated by the team. Drinks available on board and a toilet which is essential with children. Recommended.
