Make your way to Sea Ranch Marina 15 minutes prior to departure, then find a comfortable bench seat on board the wildlife-watching vessel. You’re welcome to bring food and drink to enjoy during the trip, or simply sit back and take in the view. The dolphin cruise passes some of South Padre Island’s most scenic stretches of shoreline.
The crew will cast a wildlife-safe net throughout the trip, bringing up sea life so you can see it up close. They frequently catch sea horses, starfish, and sea slugs. Atlantic bottlenose dolphins live in groups, so if you spot one in the water, keep your eyes peeled for its “pod”, which usually consists of 10 to 30 members. After 1.5 hours on the water, the dolphin boat will return to shore, where this tour concludes.

Very nice staff… Boat was clean and in good condition. They made sure we saw as many dolphins as possible! We saw at least 20 dolphins ❤️ Learned about sea creatures and got to hold several of them!

This experience went beyond our expectations! My kids, aged 8 and 6, had an absolute blast and I did too. Sabastian was so knowledgeable in ocean life, and gave us an amazing lesson while pulling up creatures in a net, there were many starfish, a bird fish, a crab, and butterfly rays. The kids were able to hold them, and we saw so many dolphins very close to the boat. The price of this outing was surprisingly affordable and my kids are still talking about how cool it was. Thanks yall!

Brandon was the assistant. He is so polite and helpful. He let my 5 yr old granddaughter hold a beautiful starfish. Captain Murphy was very informative about the area. He went out of his way to make sure we saw the dolphins up close. And, we saw a pirate ship. We felt safe and got great value for our entertainment purchase. Highly recommend this boat.

We had some time to spare before our event and decided to hop on the Dolphin Sighting Adventure, best decision we could’ve made. The crew was lively, fun, and clearly knew how to keep the energy up while still running a tight ship. They departed exactly on time (a small miracle these days), and the whole experience was smooth, entertaining, and memorable. Between the dolphin sightings and the crew’s great sense of humor, it felt less like killing time and more like the highlight of the day.
10/10 recommend, come for the dolphins, stay for the good vibes. 🐬

Book ahead of time as it's a popular tour. We were fortunate enough to see many dolphins and even have them swim along side our boat! The crew were helpful and informative and the price was right. We had a wonderful time!

We brought a small cooler and ensured we had refreshments and snacks, so please do not hesitate to bring your children and explore the sea. During our morning tour, we were fortunate to observe starfish, butterfly rays, sea robins, and pufferfish. This experience is highly recommended for future visits. It's wonderful to be outside and in the water! The tour is easy to hear and he does a nice job! (I've been on others and we all have no idea what the person is saying). They were able to dredge up quite a bit and that was very interesting! There ARE bathrooms on board
