I thought Rick was very knowledgeable. Would have loved it if it was a bit more spooky! The roof top bar and the last stop on the waterfront I felt did not really fit the tour.

We had the BEST time on our ghost pub crawl thanks to Penny Dreadful! She was incredibly knowledgeable with what felt like endless stories, but what really set her apart was how fun and engaging she made the entire experience. She kept the group laughing, entertained and fully immersed all night long. Fair warning if you’re not into cursing or dark humor, she may not be your style but for us, she was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend this tour!

The tour itself was fine, but it was much too big of a group. At 29 people, the tour was unwieldy and disconnected (no real fault of the guide).

Thanks for your review! All tours in Savannah have a maximum capacity of 30 people. The only tours you'll find on a weekend night with less than 25 to 30 people are the low-rating, less popular tours. Perhaps try a weekday? Our tours are the most popular and in-demand of the entire city due to our stellar tour guides!

I was actually very disappointed this time around. This was my second time doing a Haunted Pub crawl in Savannah and the first time was definitely much better. Our tour guide this time was adorable and so sweet. She definitely knew her stuff and was a great story teller. However, we ended up being in a huge group of 30 people and the third “bar” we were taken to was more of a club… which we hated. We are grown adults and felt very out of place. We also were a little disappointed with the haunted stops. They were more just haunted squares when before we were taken to different hotels and stops that we could actually experience things and get to walk around close by or inside. It took a long to get going.. we didn’t start the tour until after 8 when it was supposed to start at 7:30. Overall, we had a decent time until we were taken to the club but we would not do it again.

We're sorry you didn't like the live music bar. Many of our guests enjoy the energy of Barrel House for our third stop on the tour. We go through the live music area to get our BOGO for a buck drinks on our way down to the basement, where the bachelorettes on our tours get free bottles of champagne and we do an EMT reading of the 200 year old stairwell.
It was investigated in 2010 by Ghost Adventurers, where actual footage of poltergeist activity was filmed.
There are a few less popular tours in Savannah that fail to attract the maximum of 30 persons on a Friday night.
Most of our guests are partly on a pub crawl to meet and have fun with a good mix of other people. We find that keeping the same guest limits as all other Savannah tours is the correct choice, rather than limiting our tour guides' incomes due to an occasional personal preference review. All of our guides are trained to lead and guide as many as 50 guests at a time.
But we hope you will find a less in-demand tour with more low-key stops the next time you visit.

Information was good but story telling not the best. Tour guide didn’t seem confident in her decision making. Asked a mixed group of people what they wanted to do.

We do sometimes ask our guests to "vote" on which of two bars they would like to end the tour at, espcecially on St. Pat's weekend when it is often a choice between a 40 minute line and a 10 minute line. There are far too many haunted bars in Savannah to get to in 105 minutes, and only boring corporate companies keep a military regiment for every tour. Most of our guests prefer an "Anthony Bourdain" experience to a cookie cutter routine. But thanks for your feedback!
I wouldn’t consider it a lot of walking or a bar crawl. It was a tour around the downtown area highlighting some key spots, and some of those locations happened to be a bar. Our guide was great! It was a good mix of history and ghost stories with bathroom and refreshment opportunities. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend!

Our guide, Joe, arrived and appeared under the influence of something. His stories were not very interesting and he often forgot where he was going with his story. He interacted with the employees of the bars more than with us.

Hi Sharon. I'm sorry our tour wasn't a fit for you. The character I play on tours is energetic and immersive, which many guests enjoy.
And it is true that I do not ignore my friends' greetings when they say hello to me on a tour. You were ordering a drink with the other 18 guests when I exchanged greetings with the hostess. I will not apologize for being a decent human being.
But I appreciate you sharing your perspective!
While we were at the destination it was really cold, so this being an outside activity, we wished we could have been inside the pubs rather than outside while the guide was talking. We ending up not completing the tour and left. We also found the tour guide not too entertaining right from the beginning.

The other 18 guests signed up for a pub crawl. They had a wonderful time and we ended up extending the tour to two additional bars and singing karaoke until midnight.
You probably would have hated all the laughter and socializing we experienced, so it's probably for the best.

Our tour guide was very nice and friendly. However, there was only one ghost story to at he told about. Most of the tour involved our tour guide just chatting with us in different spots around Savannah. There was not a lot of story telling or ghost stories on our tour at all.

We had an absolute blast on the Spooky Savannah Haunted Pub Crawl! The tour kicked off at the historic 1790—hoping to grab a meal there before we leave because the place is incredible and the food looked and smelled delicious! Hoodoo Joe was our guide, and he made the night with his mix of deep Savannah ghost lore and perfectly timed dad jokes. The pubs along the way were fun, lively, and added to the whole spooky vibe.
I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Savannah. Tons of laughs, a little history, a few chills, and a great night out! 👻🍻

Penny Dreadful was a great guide!
She made the tour fun and gave lots of history in addition to the ghost stories. The bars were a good mix and nice that you can bring your drink with if not finished when it’s time to go.
Penny was great with communication leading up to the tour so we knew exactly where to meet.
She even gave us first timers tons of recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. We went on a Thursday night and bars were much less crowded than on weekend days which our group appreciated.
Very fun time and would recommend to anyone visiting Savannah

This was an amazing experience, i expected a cool tour and i wasn’t expecting to have the time of my life bar hopping with the entire tour group. Penny, our guide, was fantastic and very captivating in her stories. She has great knowledge and makes it easy to catch up to the facts. We bonded pretty fast with everyone in the group which made so much more fun to walk around and drink.

This was the best ghost tour that I have ever been on! Our tour guide, Penny, was a kind welcoming animated story teller. Each story was super captivating and I liked how the stories she told were all true. She seems very knowledgeable about each story / sight. We also were able to stop into a number of bars for a drink and at each bar she made sure to give us any background she knew about the bar (haunted stories, fun facts, etc).

It’s a nice walk through Savannah - but our guide was more than a little loose with historical facts. The dive bars were fun - I was surprised that he just disappeared in the one (he missed out on a tip!). Good fun, though.
