Pay close attention to the direction and having someone with you who can read a map you need a good copilot
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Rex, I’m glad you enjoyed my Silicon Valley audio tour. You’re right—having a copilot can also help with directions, but you can also connect the audio to your car stereo to listen to the directions through your speakers. Following the route and speed limit will help the audio sync with the locations as you drive. I’m also planning to add a CarPlay feature in the future, which will allow customers to see the map directly on the car screen while driving. Thanks again for your valuable input. Happy travels!

My family has some tech lovers in it and we did a lot of this tour. We cut out parts that we weren’t as interested in and didn’t have time for, but still had a great time driving around and hopping out at various locations. I’m sure we could have learned a lot of this by doing our own research but this saved us time and allowed us all to see the sights while learning tidbits about these important companies. If you know a lot about these companies already, the information might not be too new, but the itinerary map could be a timesaver and make it worth it. There are a few places I wouldn’t have seen without the tour.

Ellen, I'm so glad my Silicon Valley tour met your family's expectations. It's great to hear that the flexibility to skip parts and focus on what you enjoyed most made the experience smoother. I designed the tour to save time and still share fun, insightful stories—and it’s wonderful to know that even as tech fans, you still discovered new spots and appreciated the curated route. You Must have an Apple device to tour. This is not clesr until after you pay the non-cancelable non-refundable tour fee. Then I was unable to get the tour to work on my iPad. I gave up. Good idea but terrible experience trying to use it.
Response from Host, Nov 2024
Rich, my audio tour works on both iOS and Android devices, as long as the OS is iOS 14 or later or Android 9 (Pie) or later. For iPads, it's compatible with models that have a GPS chip. It sounds like there may have been confusion during the setup. If this was a last-minute booking, the non-refundable notice may have been shown, but don't hesitate to contact me. I'd be happy to process a refund or help with any questions. My product has been valid for a year, so you have plenty of time to try it again. Let me know if you'd prefer a replacement!

Drive instructions were too late on crossings. too late to move to the correct lanes. That made us very insecure while driving.
I think that if give route in a different way like a route in Google/ Apple Maps would be much nicer.

I'm sorry to hear you had trouble navigating the self-guided audio tour of Silicon Valley. Do you remember where you were having difficulty? Please notify me so that I can address the problem. In any case, I will gladly exchange the tour for any of my other 100 US tours. Please inform me.

We enjoyed the commentary along the route. Perfect activity for a rainy day. Best part was visiting the apple park activity center, although it was near, but not on the route. We could get out of the car and see the augmented reality display of the park and visit a big apple store and cafe, as no visitors are permitted inside any of these tech headquarters. But we enjoyed seeing their locations and listening to the history and commentary of the quide.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I’m delighted that my tour of Silicon Valley added to your learning and that you enjoyed it. I also have 100 other self-guided tours for other parks, scenic drives, cities, and historic sites in the US — hopefully, you’ll get the chance to try them next time! Also, to remind you, the tour you bought is yours for a lifetime. So, you can listen to it at home or on your next visit.
Marie_I, Sep 2022
The app is terrible. The driving directions are minimal, meaning you’ll be hard pressed to drive responsibly. The audio will cut itself off (i.e you’ll hear half a story then the new one starts), even driving slower than the speed limit. Also, and this is possibly due to Covid, but most of this is driving around office parking lots with no real access. The computer museum is awesome, but you don’t need this to see it.
Response from Host, Dec 2022
Please confirm, Marie, that you are following the app's route while taking the tour — this is critical for our self-guided driving tour to work properly. Synchronization issues will occur if you do not follow the provided route.
I have 100 other self-guided tours for parks, scenic drives, cities, and historic sites throughout the United States that you should try the next time you visit! Remember that the tour you purchased is valid for life. You'll be able to listen to it at home or during your next visit as a result.

We were unable to download the app. We called customer support the guy would not help us. We asked Our Guest to try to download the app. They could not download it either it was a complete waste of money
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Hi Diane! I'm so sorry for your experience! I heard your conversation with our support team and determined that the solution we offered could not help you. As this was not an issue from our end, it may have been an issue on PlayStore, but we can still provide you with a free tour of your choice that you can use in the future. Please let us know.
Marsha_S, Dec 2021
We did this tour on Christmas Day which meant zero traffic. There’s a lot of good information and clear directions. Very nice voice. It should include the Apple Ring building somehow.
Response from Host, Dec 2021
Ooh, that’s a great way to avoid traffic! Thanks for the suggestion on the extra Apple building — we have an Alt Stop for it since it’s so far away, but will look for a way to include it as a Main Stop in the future. We also have more self-guided audio tours across the country at ActionTourGuide.com! Thanks again!
Lily_B, Jul 2021
It was great, very informative and easy to follow; especially during Covid times. Map was easy to use but at times (maybe since there wasn’t too much traffic when I went) the voice summary was cut off because we made it to the next stop.
Response from Host, Jul 2021
Thank you so much for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed your tour through Silicon Valley! We’re always looking for ways to improve our tours, so we appreciate your feedback a great deal.
