Julie was our tour guide. She did an incredible job. She shared a lot of great information with us!! Clarence did a wonderful job navigating the trolley around the downtown area.
Knowledgeable guide, good driver. Good survey of the city. But the trolley seats were uncomfortable.
The trolly (bus) has hard bench seats! Bring a cushion! The tour card was exceptionally informative and kind. The bus driver was great. The bus has small windows and it is hard to get a good view of the city. A better vehicle with more comfortable seats and larger windows would be preferred.
Narrator was excellent. Even answered my questions.

The tour was historical throught various neighborhoods in Richmond. The tor was 20 minutes late in starting and yet ended at the designated time.
This was a very informative trolley tour about the history of Richmond. It was a very warm day in October, but our guide made you forget it was hot.
A good all round tour of Richmond. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Only drawback was the trolley's engine often drowned out her presentation. Not her fault, the engine was just working too hard on some of those hills.
The tour gives a good overview of Richmond. Pointed out things that we went and experienced afterwards.
Two hour tour with only one brief stop - no bathroom break. Old trolley provides a pretty bumpy ride over the cobblestone streets of downtown Richmond. The drive over the 9th Street Bridge was a great view of the James bridge.
Guide needs to slow down when speaking. Too much information to absorb when guide sounds like he rushing through his talk. . Disappointed tour was running late and cut 15 minutes. Did not go to Fan or Bellevue, stopped at MCV
The tour guide was awesome and knew her stuff. We would love to have her do the Hollywood cemetery tour for us - we are trying to gather a trolley load of folks from Avery Point!
We had to be in Richmond for my husband's work, so we decided to venture out and make the most of the historical city.
We homeschool our kids and this was the perfect opportunity to introduce them to the actual place they have read about, and see the sights they have only seen in books.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip downtown and saw some places we wanted to go visit again after our tour was completed.
The guide was very knowledgeable and I even found out things I didn't know about.
It was definitely worth the time and money and we're so glad we did it.
This tour was absolutely fabulous! I’ve lived in the area for years and didn’t know half of the info that were shared with me today. Melissa was so knowledgeable and gave a magnificent tour!
Melissa was a great guide- knowledgeable and personable. I got a great taste of what Richmond has to offer and where to go next! Only downside observation is that the trolley seats are pretty hard, so if I did it again I might bring a sweatshirt or something to sit on.
The trolley tour guide was lovely, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable.
The ride itself was a little uncomfortable, and unless you were sat on the right side, you didn’t get to really see some of those landmarks. However, great way to get a taste of Richmond and see where you wanted to go back and explore by other means. The benefits of the tour operating from the train station made parking extremely easy or coming by train as well as having tourist information at hand to help you plan future trips
The trolley tour was fantastic. The tour guide Melissa, had a plethora of information and facts usually not related which impressed me, especially as I am a US History teacher!! Our driver, Linda, drove safely while allowing us great view even though it rained sporadically during most of the tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Melissa and Linda!!
There does need to be a better explanation about parking your vehicle safely so you don’t park where you maybe in danger of your vehicle being towed. The GPS took us directly to the parking lot where the tour begins but it appears that’s not the actual parking lot for tour members.
That’s my one and only suggestion to better things which is NOT a complaint about the tour guide and the driver who did a fantastic tour, especially considering it was raining as well!!
This is a not to be missed tour, whether you are a first time or repeat visitor to Richmond. It was informative, entertaining, thorough and covered downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods as well as the deep history of this City. A great orientation! Maggie, our tour guide, was exceptional. Her in-depth knowledge was only surpassed by her enthusiastic personality, great story telling and passion for history. Can't give her and this tour enough stars.
The historian,Andrew, was very good! Presentation was very interactive and spirited that kept our group totally engaged.
AC stopped working and it was a hot humid day.
Tour should have included Arthur Ashe Blvd. No mention of Arthur Ashe, Doug Wilder, or other notable African American other than slavery in the civi war.
Excellent way to learn about Richmond. Guide was easy to understand and very knowledgeable about history
The tour was very informative and fun. The air conditioning was not operable, so we were sweeting. Besides that, the tour was great!

Great trip through downtown Richmond. Our guide Andrew definitely knew his history and didn't just memorize a script. If you are looking for something to do in Richmond definitely add this to your list!!

The trolly was supposed to have A/C and before we left we were told it wasn’t working properly. We were given a chance to get off and get refunded but chose not to. This was our one chance to tour. The trolly had only a fan and the temp was over 90 so the heat inside was miserable. Cold bottled water was available, so that helped. Loved the tour but very disappointed with the trolly.
Linda was excellent driver in the city driving very skillful and professional. Melissa was an excellent guide. Interesting and friendly. You see a large portion of Richmond & it’s different areas. Enjoyed it Love that it is done in a trolley.
Where departing from. Meeting place directions given on voucher is not correct.
Cushions on seats would greatly be appreciated due to cobblestones and potholes.

Suggest bringing a seat pad for comfort as the trolley has hard wooden seats!

Tour guide was late for personal reasons. Had fill in driver/guide he was really good. Picked regular guide on route she finished our tour and was great. Would recommend doing this if in Richmond
