We were supposed to do this trip with BusTravel Iceland. Prior to the trip ( and on the morning of the trip) I had received multiple emails and what’s app messages from the company. On the day of departure we waited at allocated bus stop for over 45 mins with two children ( no shelter at this particular stop). When no bus arrived I messaged the company to be told the bus was stuck in traffic and to continue to wait. After another 10-15 minutes another tour company helped me call the company. When I got through I was firstly told that the tour wasn’t running, and then I was told that there had been a problem with the booking system and so the guide hadn’t known to pick us up! Due to the fact we waited so long (freezing) in good faith there were no other tour options that day which included the places which we wanted to visit which was extremely disappointing as if we hadn’t been told beforehand or earlier we could have arranged an alternative trip. We were only in Iceland for a few days so we didn’t have the option to reschedule. I was offered a full refund, and told the refund team would process it as a matter of urgency. After waiting a few days I had to get back in touch to be told I had to instigate the refund process through viator.. Again if full and clear information had been provided in the beginning this would have made this process better and the refund would have been quicker. A disappointing experience dealing with a large company with poor customer service. I would advise to avoid this company

Hi Leah, we’re very sorry for what happened. On this departure, there was a technical issue, and your reservation did not appear on our live passenger list for pickup. That is why you were not collected, and we understand how stressful that was. Once we were aware, we offered an alternative tour option for the day, but since it didn’t fit your plans and you couldn’t reschedule, we approved a full refund. For Viator bookings, refunds must be processed through Viator’s system, which is why we advised you to submit it there so it could be completed correctly, and it was issued 3 days after your tour. We really apologize for the inconvenience.

Absolutely brilliant time was had! We did laugaras lagoon which was amazing! So new and reasonable. Our tour driver Joseph was lovely and gave just enough commentary. Would highly recommend this trip and company.

The guide made this tour the best Ziggie is the best! He took the time to engage with all of the group. No one was left out. His humour & approachability along with story telling was on a level of its own A*! The day was clear - and the stops were great. My tour included a stop at a new spa. It was amazing !! Learned sop much. I had flown in &had considered cancelling as I thought I might be too tired. I am so glad I went ! Def a huge hillight of my time in Iceland. Thank you !
