It was a fabulous experience. Kathleen was incredible - sharing her knowledge, while giving us opportunities to have the raptors on gauntlets on our arms. It was up close and personal. We also got to watch the Harris’ Hawk fly and come in and land on our arm. I would highly recommend this and will definitely bring others to e patience it, next time I am in the area.

Raptors and Falconry in Reno provided an unforgettable experience! I loved every moment of my visit. It was both incredibly fun and highly educational. Getting up close with these magnificent birds was a true privilege. The passion and knowledge were evident throughout, making the entire experience even more enriching. The Raptor Adventure is awesome! I can’t explain how much I enjoyed Kathleen and her amazing raptors. Kathleen is incredibly knowledgeable and informative. She clearly loves what she does and did a great job explaining raptors and falconry. It was amazing to actually get to handle such fascinating animals. I would strongly recommend that people experience this if at all possible.

Raptors Rule!

My husband and I had an absolutely amazing time at the Raptor Experience. Kathleen was a fantastic ambassador for the raptors we were privileged to interact with. We appreciated her vast knowledge and passion for all things raptor. During our time with Kathleen we were able to "handle" (with a gantlet glove) 3 different kinds of raptors; a falcon, an owl and and Harris hawk. We walked around the site with Kathleen as the hawk hunted and returned on her command. It was incredible to see the birds soaring in flight and return on signal. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the Raptor Adventure.

Spent a great day learning and holding raptors

We had such a great time at our raptor experience today. We were first welcomed by Chief, the friendliest dog, and we weren’t even out of our car yet. We were then greeted by Kathleen, our raptor expert. Kathleen had snacks and drinks set out for us. She was so welcoming and so very informative. We learned so much and we got to hold an owl, a falcon, and a hawk. We got up close and personal with Louise, an Eurasian Eagle Owl, Sabey, a Saker Falcon, and Zulu, a Harris’ Hawk. This was a bucket list dream for me, so it was especially meaningful. To be up close to such amazing creatures is mind blowing. Thank you so much for allowing my husband and me the opportunity to learn about and be near your raptors. Everybody who is considering doing this experience, please do it! You won’t regret it!!!

Raptors have always fascinated me, and I've long wondered what it would be like to have one on my hand, and to experience one of these impressive birds fly from and alight on my glove. Got to do all of that AND to learn how challenging it can be to obtain a permit to care for these birds, and what it takes for them to be healthy and content. Totally worth it!

Wow! What an experience! I highly recommend this experience to anyone. Around 30 minutes from downtown Reno. I learned so much and was able to get up close with 4 different raptors.
