Our driver + guide, Joao Jesus, picked us up on time in a clean vehicle. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the sites we saw. He was also patient with our slower walking speed. I would recommend this tour. A great day thanks to Joao.

One Cannot Change the Weather, But One Can Choose the Best Tour for a Rainy Day!☔️

A small group tour of the city offered us an opportunity to see and visit some of the major sites. Miguel was our guide and was able to access the restricted historic district where our hotel was. This is important before it was raining! We drove pass many sites and were able to jump out and take pictures. Miguel planned our time so we could visit inside the Porto Sao Bento Train Station to see its beautiful blue and white tiles and tour the Church of Carmel along with the “hidden house” while it was raining. We also toured the Porto Cathedral and were able to see great views of the city of Porto from atop its upper tower. Fortunately, the weather cooperated a bit and we were able to take pictures with the Porto Sign, which is in front of the City Hall. This is definitely a good tour for seeing the city and major sites of Porto when it’s raining!

The overall experience was good. Chris, our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. We liked that we were picked up from the cruise terminal. We got a good overview of Porto in a short amount of time. Also, the planned Port tasting stop was closed, and Chris had to find somewhere else for us to go. It was very crowded, but he found us lovely place to sit outside alongside the river. I only have one negative comment to make. When I booked our group of 4, I didn't realize that we would be sharing our vehicle with others. The van was comfortable, but very difficult for seniors to keep crawling in and out of the way back at our stops.

Sights and Tastes of Porto

My wife and I joined two other lovely couples for this small group tour. Christopher met us immediately as we exited the boat. The tour was a nice combination of drive bys and discussions of beautiful porto in a very comfortable Mercedes and a number of short walks through neighbourhoods, places, and other interesting sites including by the Douro river When the establishment where the wine tasting was to be held was closed Christopher fairly quickly found another and we tasted four very different varieties of port. A very enjoyable and recommended tour.

Perfect Introduction to Porto

We had the most amazing tour with our guide, Gisela! She was prompt in picking us up at our hotel and took us to all of the places Porto has to offer of cultural and historical significance. This helped us to figure out what we wanted to go back and see in greater detail in our remaining days in Porto. Gisela not only explained thoroughly each spot we visited, she also answered our many questions as they came up during the tour. We highly recommend you book this tour at the beginning of your stay. It is so helpful to figure out where everything is and what is most important to you to experience fully. Take some chocolate with you for the wine tasting, it was divine! Tour was great. Went to quite a few locations with service as close to the door as you could get. The only negative was not receiving meeting instructions the day before like an email said we would. Sent 2 emails and finally called due to no response.

We didn’t get the tour we booked.

We booked a small 8 person tour that was to visit the inside of several sites. The day of the tour we were told they didn’t have a guide for that tour so we were given a tour on a large bus with 29 people. We only entered the train station and passed by many sites which were impossible to see from inside the bus. Very disappointed that we did not get what we booked and that we weren’t notified of the change in plans.

Efficient way to see the charm of Porto

Our guide, Jose, was great. He is very knowledgeable and was accommodating to our group that included two teens and four seniors. This tour was a nice way to get to see the city of Porto with minimal walking (which helped the grandparents). The only ask I could make is if the tour had a suggested itinerary for us to consider / review. It felt like we were being asked what we wanted to see vs being given a suggested itinerary with options based on our interests. Overall, though, I would recommend, especially if you already have an idea of what you want to tour.
