Rylie was an exceptional guide. He asked questions about us - engaged with our children - was super knowledgeable about the area! Best of all we were able to see the horses as well as a few dolphins. He was nice enough to turn around and follow the dolphins for us to see for a little longer!
Would recommend this experience and Rylie as a guide to anyone and everyone!

Gets you up close and personal with the Assawoman Bay and Assateague Island. Local operators know the area and know the history so you get a real perspective of the area. Safe and comfortable boat.

Our tour was at 8:30am and we showed up 30 minutes early (as directed) and there wasn’t anyone there. Called the agency and they said we were in the correct location and crew should be there soon. At 8:35 I called again and they again said the boat should be arriving. At 9:00, I called again and was then informed that our tour had been cancelled by the company due to the captain calling off. I understand things happen, but I was never called, emailed, or received any communication from the company on the tour being cancelled. Wasted 2 hours of our day and had two very disappointed children.

My family and I attended a 1 hour private cruise on Sunday 8/2/26. Our cruise was scheduled at 5 pm but we had left a little early (I guess due to the impending weather) quite frankly, my family and I travel a lot, we do a ton of excursions and this one was by far the worst cruise we have ever attended. Our captain, Wilson, did not tell us ANY information about the island, he asked us 1 question, if my family was just here for the weekend. He shows us the osprey as well. Other then that, he was on his phone and did not communicate with us what so ever. We did not see 1 single horse, we didn’t see one single dolphin. My 5 year old daughter was absolutely devastated. I paid $200.00 for nothing. To sit on a boat for an hour with a stranger that didn’t even speak to us. I’m sure this is not the first time you have heard the same thing. I understand it’s wildlife and it’s a gamble, however, it was not even a tour. If it was an educational tour and our captain communicated with us, I wouldn’t be upset. While we were waiting to board the boat my child needed to use the bathroom, the bathroom smelled like urine, it was dirty and there was no toilet paper. I went out to ask at the counter for toilet paper and was told “we are out”. This was disgraceful and an embarrassment to their establishment. I emailed them 3 days ago and also have not heard back from them since. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

So much fun! Our guide Brett went out of his way to make sure we saw dolphins, the ponies, and even an Osprey. He was super knowledgeable and we learned a lot about boats, the weather, the houses on the bay, the ponies and their history and he even threw in a restaurant and Ferris wheel ride recommendation. Brett was full of stories and even explained why there were so many jellyfish around. He was the best, and made our tour memorable!

It was an overcast yet sunny warm day on the water. We had an experience captain in Wilson who navigated the choppy Waters with all of the jet, skis, and other boats out on the water on the same day. He found a dolphins and horses on to take in. My son got even lost his hat Anne Wilson was able to recover it quickly. It’s a great hour excursion if you wanna do something on the water.

Really cool way to spend part of your day. We went early (8:30) and were surrounded by dolphins within 15 minutes. Soon after we were taking pictures of the ponies. Our captain, Owen, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions.

Owen was our guide. Very knowledgeable and a great captain. Did not rush us. We got to see the wild horses and even got to see a lot of dolphins on our way back from Assateague Island. Great trip for the family .

Captain wilson was amazing! He talked us through the soghts we were seeing and answered any questions we had. We were racing a storm so we didnt see the dolphins but we got great veiws of the ponies on assatague island!!! We loved the boating experience. Boating is not always a dry experience we were misted and splashed and it felt so amazing! It was amaxing the knowledge the captains have to have!!!

This is the 2nd time I have gone on this same excursion with the same captain. 1st time we ended up like 4 ft from the ponies, 2nd time we saw several ponies and saw many dolphins that were so close to us since this is a low boat we almost could reach out and touch them. Plus loved the boat we speeded through the water fast where we could.. Loved our time on the water perfect private tour worth the price and learned some new things about ocean city.

Really great captain and fun boat ride. Way harder to see or even find horses than expected. The ads make it seem like there are lots of horses everywhere and that is not true. We would still fully recommend it, just lower your expectations about seeing lots of horses.

Riley is the best!! He prepared us for the trip. He warned us it could be rough in certain spots. He was overly cautious with the rough spots. He was very knowledgeable about OC. We saw lots of dolphins. They even swam near the boat! We chose to deviate from our original plan and go see Michael Jordan's boat. It was awesome!!! Riley is a great boat captain and the private trip was awesome!

The Captain gave us an experience of a lifetime. We had an up close and personal experience w the ponies on Asateague, got to see Michael Jordan's boat and dolphins. He even took the time to take pictures of us.

Such a fun ride around the inlet. The operator went out of his way to make sure we found the island horses even when they weren’t in their usual spot. Would recommend and we’ll be doing this again in the future.
