OC Bay Hopper is the only trip in Ocean City Maryland that offers a hands on crabbing experience. We will depart from our 118th street location in Ocean City Maryland. The captain will explain how to find and get crabs from the Assawoman Bay. He will provide and teach you how to use all the necessary equipment. The captain will explain how to hold and measure the crabs so that you can then keep those that are of legal size. You get to keep the legal size crabs to enjoy for lunch or dinner after the trip.

Watch the sun set over Assateague Island on your own private boat, with 75 minutes of quiet, open bay all to yourselves, and plenty of time to look for wildlife along the way. Your USCG-licensed captain takes up to six guests into the calm back bays behind Ocean City and along the Assateague shoreline, where the famous wild ponies roam free. Look for the ponies along the beach and keep an eye out for dolphins, ospreys, herons, and egrets as the sun sets. Your captain shares what you are seeing and answers whatever your group is curious about, whether that is the wildlife, the barrier island, or life on the water. With no other guests aboard, the evening runs on your schedule. Wherever you are in the Zulu Kingdom you are no more than 3 hours from Africa’s iconic Big 5. Today, however, you shall be a whole lot closer. It is a 05h00 start. As you know wildlife, especially predators, are most active around dawn and dusk. The Big 5 Bucketlist Safari gives you the best chance to see the Big 5 on a day tour within KwaZulu Natal. Enter into a Premier Private Game Reserve and meet your knowledgeable ranger. Listen to a briefing on game drive etiquette before you start your 3 hour morning safari. Your ranger will track wildlife while keeping tabs on sightings throughout the reserve giving you the best chance to be in the right place at the right time. This reserve only permits travellers staying at their luxury lodges to traverse the park, unless you’re with us of course. Time for lunch. After lunch we’re heading deeper into the reserve. Embark on another 3 hour game drive focusing on different game. At approximately 16h00 we will depart for Durban.

On this trip, you’ll be joined by members of the Maryland Coastal Bays Program as you tour the Assawoman and Sinepuxent Bays. You’ll have experts on the boat who will explain what the Maryland Coastal Bays Program is doing to preserve this natural treasure. You’ll also learn about the incredible wildlife inhabiting the coastal bay region.
