Your guide leads you along the Greek streets of Naples and shows you the underground excavations that date to ancient Rome. Continue to Piazza del Gesù, Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, San Gregorio Armeno market, and see typical shops and the Baroque-style Cathedral. Your guide explains the Pagan and Christian influences that remain a characteristic of the present day and can be noted in some of the landmarks you pass.
Experience Neapolitan culture in the narrow streets, and have one hour on your own to browse the shops and purchase a treat for lunch. Feel free to ask your guide for recommendations.
After lunch, view the Theater of San Carlo, a medieval castle that holds one of the world's best neoclassical theaters. Nearby, check out the inside of the Galleria Umberto shopping center, then stroll along the historical Via Toledo and Piazza Plebiscito.

The underground portion is exceptional and gives insight into how market was setup. Tour is not meant for kids not interested in history. It is truly 3-4 hours. Lunch added at end is well worth it if you don't have plans.
A very enjoyable experience of Napoli. Learned and saw a lot of this exciting Città. The tour guide was very informative and friendly.

Nice walk from pier not far from where ship was docked. Got to see Roman ruins underground as well as stores & sights of Naples streets above ground. We recommend this tour for cruise ship travellers!
The day of our tour was very hot. I wish there was more to offer in underground tour. It seemed a bit misleading. But our host was very good at her job. She has much knowledge about Naples history 👏

Giovanni is very knowledgeable and the tour was vefy interesting especially going down the underground. It was a very hot day and a little break if 15 minutes would have been appreciated but otherwise it was great.
Lots of information. Four hours long and very hot out so a bit tiring for most of us. But overall worthwhile.

I really enjoyed yesterday’s walking tour of Naples. I had a great guide called Salvadore who was very friendly and gave us an enjoyable day walking around the city.
Our guide Lorenzo Leva gave us the most detailed history on Naples and took his time explaining even the most minute aspects letting us take our time to look at the areas we visited. Especially loved the oldest cafe Gran Caffe Gambrinus with beautiful interiors & huge variety of pastries & great coffee. Not only that but Lorenzo also gave us good advice on such things as buying train tickets - you can get them at Tabachi outlets! Lots of walking involved so be prepared if you continue to explore after the tour - you must go & catch the funicular up to Castel Sant’Elmo for the best view of all of Naples!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions we threw his way. He allowed time at each place to look around and take photos. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a tour of Naples
Toured last week with Josephina and she was an awesome guide!! She was enthusiastic, very knowledgeable about the history of Naples, and thorough in her explanations. I enjoyed all the sites and this was a good way to see the city. She also gave great dining and shopping recommendations
I booked this tour following the great amount of good reviews here and unfortunately my experience was mostly disappointing. After the tour guide arrived 20 minutes late after allegedly having to pick up a few tour attendees, we started walking around but the tour guide’s english was super limited and he didn’t know anything really interesting about the places we visited. I could’ve just followed google maps and read a glance about the sites there and would’ve been the same, and cheaper. he was very nice to everyone though and very kind to the older people who had joined the tour. Overall, the experience was good because of all the nice tour attendees, but the tour itself was pretty poor and disappointing.

Regarding the departure delay, our walking tours are carefully timed, but occasionally a brief delay can occur at the very beginning to ensure all participants arriving from different locations are safely grouped together. We apologize for the 20 minutes of waiting.
Great tour itinerary, but long winded tour guide with hard to understand accent. Especially fun to take metro safely.

Lorenzo was very friendly and very informative about the city of Naples. The pace was good too for an average paced walker. I recommend this tour as we would not have been able to see all the spots if we tried to do it ourselves.

The guide was very informative and nice. She gave us plenty of time to take pictures and look at the historical sites. The only down side was it was a mixed group of English & Spanish so it took longer because she had to say everything twice. We would have preferred to just have had English.
We had the most wonderful, friendly tour guide, Titi, who made the whole tour very enjoyable. Her knowledge and language skills were second to none. We would highly recommend this tour with Titi. We enjoyed every minute.
