The show was great however Viator failed to have the reservation put into GTS reservations so when we got there, they did not have our reservations which delayed our entry however, GTS works kind enough to accommodate us even though Viator failed to inform them of the booking just think had it been sold out we would not have had a seat but again GTS was kind enough to accommodate us in spite of Viator not putting the reservation into their system

For your next visit, we encourage you to book directly with GTS Theatre. Viator retains a substantial portion of what you pay, and third-party tickets are limited to our BRONZE section—the last two rows in the very back of the theatre. Booking directly gives you access to our other seating sections while providing greater support to our cast, crew, and locally owned venue.

The singers were spot in with their awesome performances. They engaged the crowd and were to get full participation. The energy was electric. We dance in the Soul Train line. We would definitely recommend this show!9

We're sorry you were disappointed with your seating. One thing many guests don't realize is that when tickets are purchased through third-party sellers like Viator, they retain a large portion of the ticket price, which ultimately does not support the cast or GTS Theatre. Because of this, the only seats allocated to third-party ticket purchasers are the last two rows of our theatre.
Guests who book directly through GTS Theatre have access to our VIP, Gold, and Red seating sections and receive the best available seating based on when they purchase their tickets.

The venue is small so there is no bad seat in the house! Very lively and entertaining. Eat before you go, only snacks and popcorn and soda available onsite!

We found ourselves disagreeing with other reviewers.
Love Motown music but this venue & performances leave much to be desired. The venue is in a questionable & difficult location to find. Purses, bags are searched & you are “wanded” as in an airport before entering. The “theatre “ itself is rather shabby, giving off a dilapidated vibe inside The uncomfortable “ dining room” type chairs are crowded right against one another. The sound system needs better acoustics. Just being loud doesn’t make up for the lack of sound quality . Many of the songs were recognizable. but quite a few weren’t known. Maybe include more popular Motown songs. The performers gave it their all you could tell with what they have to work with in that venue , men were especially good. Stage was too close to audience. At times they made it feel like a hustle . As you enter they want to take your picture for purchase, mentioned multiple times more shows to purchase, buy a souvenir T-shirt, buy refreshments . Maybe with a major upgrade the performers would have a chance to really showcase their talent and enthusiasm for their craft.
Overall disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend. Legends show location, staging, performances, sound system, seating so much better if you want a musical evening out.

GTS Theatre is conveniently located in the heart of Myrtle Beach and is easily found using any GPS or mapping service. Our security screening consists of a simple bag check and security wand and is implemented solely for the safety of our guests, performers, and staff.
The seating you described is our Bronze Section, which is the only section sold through third-party ticket companies. Guests who book directly with GTS Theatre have the option to choose upgraded VIP, Gold, and Red seating, offering additional space, cocktail tables, and premium views.
You also described our theatre as "dilapidated," which is simply inaccurate. GTS Theatre was intentionally designed in the elegant Art Deco style of the Gatsby Era, inspired by the classic Las Vegas cabaret showrooms where the owners entertained audiences for many years. Our décor includes authentic 1920s chandeliers and period-inspired architectural details that reflect the sophistication and elegance of that era. The intimate cabaret setting is a deliberate design choice that allows every guest to enjoy an up-close, interactive entertainment experience that larger theatres simply cannot provide.
Our Original Motown Tribute Show has entertained audiences for 38 years, making it one of the longest-running Motown tribute productions in the country. Productions simply do not remain successful for nearly four decades without consistently delivering quality entertainment. While every guest has different tastes, we are proud of our thousands of repeat visitors and the thousands of five-star reviews recognizing the quality, authenticity, and energy of our performers.
We were also disappointed that your review compared our theatre to another venue and encouraged readers to attend that show instead. We believe every theatre should be evaluated on its own merits, and we are confident that our 38-year history, unique cabaret-style experience, and loyal audiences speak for themselves.

I loved the singers, their talent, voices, energy, and bility to interact with the audience. This is the first time my husband, son and I have been to Myrtle beach. We were unaware of the type of seating. It is a room with a bunch of chairs. It is not a theater. I have been receiving treatment for 2 distinct cancers since last year. Desperately needing a vacation, I chose Myrtle beach. This show was supposed to be my highlight. I fought to enjoy it. I not only was in pain but there were 3 ladies in front of us with high bun hairdoes which obstructed my vision. I'm not criticizing the place to degrade a choice the owner made. I'm just suggesting that this should be advertised so that sick or handicapped people know and have the right to choose if they want to go. I applaud the owner for this type of show and give 5 stars to the singers who make many people happy. Maybe in the future it can be relocated to a real theater. And if that's not possible, it still is a great show. I apologize for being ill and not fitting in with your arrangements.

GTS Theatre was intentionally designed as a cabaret theatre, modeled after the intimate Las Vegas showrooms where the owners performed for many years. Their dream was to bring that close, personal entertainment experience to Myrtle Beach, where every guest feels connected to the performers rather than watching from hundreds of feet away.
Unfortunately, because your tickets were purchased through a third-party seller (Viator), your seats were located in our Bronze Section, which is at the back of the theatre. Third-party ticket companies retain a significant portion of the ticket price, so they are only allocated seating in our Bronze Section. This allows us to continue offering those platforms while reserving our premium seating for guests who purchase directly from GTS Theatre.
If you visit us again, we would love for you to book directly through GTS Theatre. By purchasing directly, you'll have the opportunity to choose from our VIP, Gold, or Red Sections, including our spacious VIP chairs with armrests that provide a much more comfortable experience. Our staff is also happy to assist guests with medical or mobility concerns whenever possible to ensure they have the best seating available.
We are genuinely sorry that the guests seated in front of you obstructed your view. While we can't control individual hairstyles or guest preferences, we certainly understand how disappointing that must have been, especially when this show was meant to be one of the highlights of your vacation.

This was our best event during our vacation to Myrtle Beach. The performers were talented with plenty of engagement with the audience. They often changed their costuming and it felt like a real trip back in time to the best of Motown. Lots of classics! The audience participated in a soul train line dance sound the theater. Small venue, don't expect a large pricey building. The talent and showmanship is worth the money. My senior parents enjoyed the songs of their youth, I enjoyed watching them relive the memories.

Regarding our restrooms, our facility is fully licensed to accommodate up to 150 guests with the existing restroom facilities. Like many theaters, the busiest time is during intermission when many guests choose to use the restrooms at the same time, which can occasionally result in a brief wait.

We saw the show about three years ago so this iwas our second time and it was WAY better this time. Loved the singing and the costumes. They made the audience feel like we were a part of the show and we had a great time.

Unbelievable performances! Great show! People were dancing n singing along to all there Motown favorites! The pictures that were taken when you enter the venue was a nice gesture .. one thing to remember if you do go is get your tickets off GTS Website !
