Failed expectations

I had great expectations for this private tour of the gallery. I was hoping to learn more about famous artists and the masterpieces. The information that we received was insultingly simple. Guide would not be able to hold attention of a child with his narrative. He was not enthusiastic and appeared to convey bare minimum. Shortly into to the tour I felt that my intelligence was insulted. I spend serious amount of money and wasted two hours of my life.

Our guide, Carlos, was amazing. He did a great job of highlighting the main pieces throughout the museum and was extremely personable. We had no idea what to expect going in and were extremely impressed with the individualized attention he gave us and how he went over and above to take us throughout the exhibit. We had a great tour and it left us wanting to see more! It was very easy to connect with Carlos at the museum and he is most certainly what made the tour an exceptional experience!

We enjoyed our tour. The museum is filled with so many wonderful works of art, which was enhanced by our tour guide's knowledge. If one is truly a lover of the art, I would recommend a much longer tour. I will have to return to Madrid someday to continue my tour.
