We had an excellent tour with Paul and Juan - they were so funny and insightful. We got a great understanding of the neighborhood and LGBT+ history in Madrid. The food we had at the stops were also fantastic and varied. Learning how to pour Asturian cider was an absolute highlight. Finally, they gave us thoughtful tips on places to eat, drink, and visit for the rest of our visit in Madrid which was incredibly kind and helpful.

Paul was such a great host! He gave us a good dose of history and many practical tips of navigating gay Madrid. And from a gastronomic perspective, the tapas that he took us to were delicious!

    Great tour for anyone

Paul’s tour was educational, insightful, and fun. He has expansive knowledge of Spain’s history, culture, and food. Paul is new to Viator, but not tours. He’s been doing this for awhile and it shows in how he strives to make sure every tour member leaves with a greater appreciation for Spain and it’s LGBTQ community.

    Excellent time — Would recommend!

Paul's tour is excellent. Four fantastic spots in Chueca, Madrid's LGBTQ+ district; great historical insights into the neighborhood; and nice company. You will be a pro at tapas culture by the end. I would definitely recommend it!

Charming way to get to know more of Madrid!

This was such a fun way to explore Madrid. Not only was our guide kind and handsome but he was also very knowledgeable about the Chueca district, Spanish history, Spanish customs, and hidden food gem's! He took us to the best place to find a Spanish tortilla all while charmingly laying down some facts about the neighborhood and how it came to be. If you are someone who enjoys learning about culture and good food and drinks this trip is for you!

    Lovely tour!

We had a great time with Ian on our tour! Prompt, responsive, friendly, funny and full of deep knowledge of Madrid's LBTQ history, he not only enlightened us on past and current culture, he gave us a great tapas and drinks lesson at 3 different bars in the gay district and pointed out great landmarks. It was just perfect for our first night Madrid and intro to Spain, and we left with more than a few great beverage discoveries! Thanks Ian and Paul!

    Vermouth! Who knew? So good.

We had a spectacular afternoon with Ian and Juan. The tour provided the perfect blend of historical and cultural insights with great food and drink. We loved learning about the neighborhood and the hidden gems that you wouldn't discover on your own. Highlights were the vermouth, the red sauce that was served with the tortilla, and the cider pouring. Ian and Juan were great fun and very knowledgeable. We regret that we didn’t have time for the village tour also offered by the company.

    Fantastic tour!
