Carmen was a wonderful guide with so much knowledge about Madrid. The eateries were great and we tried some new foods while learning about local food culture. An excellent tour overall, and I would highly recommend.

Carmen was outstanding. Very engaging and full of information of the city of Madrid and Spain in general. She pointed out the specialties of local food stops (this one is great for garlic prawns, this one for stuffed mushrooms and on and on). She took us at a comfortable pace and we never felt rushed. We had three stops and tried lots of food and had plenty to drink. We were all very full by the time the tour was over. At the end she took us to a convent to tell us about the nuns and the pastries they make so we could go back when the convent opened. We all had a wonderful time and it was a highlight of our stay in Madrid. Thank you Carmen.

We took the Madrid tapas tour. It was excellent. We got lucky because we were the only 2 people on the tour that day. Out guide Carmen made us very comfortable. She was interesting, knowledgeable about tapas and Spain, entertaining and fun. We went to three tapas bars, and clealy Carmen is well known and well liked at each . Af each place we had a tapas ,and a drink, wine, beer or water. During the tour we had shrimp with garlic, fried chorizo, marinated tomatoes and grilled mushrooms. Carmmen also gave us suggestions for other tapas bars and things to do in Madrid. We have been to Spain before, but this was a great way to begin this three-week trip. We highly recommend this tour because: the food was good, the wines were nice, the tips and advice are very helpful amd Carmen was a lot of fun.

We had a great tour with Carmen. She took us to great local spots that we would have never found from guide books, or on our own and gave a nice historical tour of Madrid. This is a must do. Recommend trying to do it early in your trip so you can re- visit some of the spots visited for more Tapas and Vino during your stay

It is a fun experience in Madrid. You go to 3 local restaurants. One specialized in shrimp, another in mushrooms, the third had a couple different tapas we tried. I think it’s important to know that you have to be on time. She doesn’t wait even 1 minute for you and is very intense about her policy. Also she doesn’t tell you what restaurants you go to. We know this because we were running behind and texted and asked her to just wait a couple minutes and she intensely refused. We have been on tons of tours and have seen many tour guides wait a minute or 5 for everyone to arrive. Thankfully we made it on the exact minute so we could still go. She (Carmen) is a nice person but also literally left on the exact minute the tour was over and said she had to go 15 mins before it ended so we needed to hurry at our last stop. We liked the experience but we feel it is overpriced. Also her accent was difficult to understand and she gave some confusing and either wrong or strange facts lol. But it was fun

Thank you for leaving us your opinion and to enjoy the food in each tapas bar.
I would like to clarify several things that you says in your review about the fact that I did not wait a minute for you and that I have a very intense policy on punctuality,I will clarify. We were waiting for you for 10 minutes, from 12.20 pm to 12.30 pm (which is when the activity starts) with other customers who had arrived 10 minutes before or exactly at 12.30 pm.
When you made the reservation, I sent you an email confirming the reservation and at what time you had to be at the meeting point, I always tell you that you have to be there 10 minutes before the activity starts to be able to leave at 12.30pm.
For me, punctuality is very important (it is true) first out of respect for the other guests who have arrived on time and want to start the activity at the time it starts without having to wait for anyone (they are within their rights) and then by the guide who has also arrived on time and wants to start the tour without delay. I believe that punctuality is having respect for others. I think I give enough time (10 minutes) so that everyone can arrive at the meeting point on time.
This tapas tour lasts approximately 2h30, our guides never say that they have to leave 15 minutes before the tour ends, it could be that the tour ended earlier, it may be, because sometimes the duration of the tour is longer short, other times it lasts more than 2h30 etc. it depends on many factors... such as our guests eating faster, others eating slower, also the time it takes to serve our food, the number of people in a bar etc... That is why we say that our tours have an approximate duration, not an exact one.
Regarding our price point, in our ticket price, we include all food, drinks, 21% sales tax, and very importantly, the guide wage. Our expert guides are dedicated to showing guests the fascinating history and local culture of Madrid and we've found that this truly helps guests explore the city and discover incredible tapas bars better than if they were to go without the tour, I think that in relation to quality-price our prices are quite competitive.

I really enjoyed my tapas tour with Carmen and highly recommend you take this tour when in Madrid! The tapas and wine/beer were sooo good! I especially loved the Spanish omelette and the mushrooms...sooo good!! And I liked how she also shared history and important cultural points along the way. Carmen had been such a wonderful host. She took us to 4 exclusive tapas bar ( restaurants). Taught us the Spanish toast. Took us to the oldest running restaurant of the world. Showed us the way iberica ham is sliced snd the way suckling pigs are roasted. She described the difference between tinto, roja and sangria. Her knowledge of spanish history is incredible. We enjoyed every minute with her. God bless her. It was a superlative experience to relish the food, culture and history of Spain.

Carmen was an excellent host on our tapas & wine tour. She met us promptly and took us to 3 unique locations that we wouldn't have seen on our own. Great tour with Carmen. 3 Stops to have the true Tapas experience. Carmen was great at explaining the social customs of Tapas along the way, as well as explaining in great detail the differences between the meats & fish. We also had great conversations about Spanish life in general, family, challenges etc. She gave us great insight into so much more. We truly enjoyed our time with her. Highly recommend the tour and if you can get Carmen to be your host it will be an even greater experience!
