This was one of the really excellent food tours I’ve taken (and I have done many). Brian was a really great Tour Guide. The tour was very informative and delicious and we had a great group of people on the trip. And the food and drink were plentiful. I highly recommend this if you are in Madrid.

Eating our way through Madrid

Shaun_B, Nov 2025
This tour was amazing! We had such a good time. The food was so good! We definitely recommend this tour.

We received far more than our moneys worth!

Cynthia_L, Nov 2025
This tapas tour exceeded all of our expectations. We arrived at the meeting spot and were surprised to learn that we were the only two people on the tour which we were told was an extremely rare occurrence. After a brief explanation of what our tour would encompass by our guide , Brian, we set off. At the first stop we were treated to two different glasses of wine and four small tapas. I loved the cod soup Next we were off to a small place where again we were treated to four small tapas, broth and bread. My favorite was the pork belly and my husband loved the potato one. We were surprised my a group of men at a nearby table who began singing. It was great Next was to a small place where we were treated to the most amazing jamon and cheese offerings Last we were so full , but we made room for churros at our last stop. All of the places and food were fantastic, but what truly put this tour over the top was our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the food, the restaurants and many places in the area. He was a great conversationalist and truly made the tour exceptional!

Highly Recommend!

Great blend of Spanish food and historical conversation. A small group of six people. The guide, Brian, was very well received at the four places that we visited. Our group felt very special and accommodated by staff. The variety of food items and beverages was appreciated.

Our tour guide, Brian, a native of Spain and lived and studied in the US for 12 years. The tour he arranged was well organized and thought out. A great introduction to gastronomy of Spain and its rich history. I really enjoy the tour and the food and drinks. Thank you, Brian.

Great experience, the tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and a genuine guy. Food was amazing, you always know when you’ve sampled something that’s delicious when you find yourself heading back to the same place a few days later. Worth the fee and time.

Bad

Rita_S, Sep 2024
I thought it was supposed to be a food tour. We waited for 30 minutes to even go to the first restaurant. Then waited again for another

Response from Host, Sep 2024

Thank you for your comment. In this way, while I answer it, it serves as an explanation to other customers about the experience. The fact that you thought the tour would last 2 hours, as you told the tour guide, instead of verifying that it lasts 3 and a half hours, as detailed in the tour description, is not our fault. From our side we have complied with everything offered in the product sheet. This is a walking food tour that runs through the beautiful historic district of central Madrid. We visit 4 bars to complete a full meal, this is what is called in Spain, let's go for tapas. It's a shame that you abandoned the tour halfway through only visiting two bars and not completing the planned experience of 4 bars/restaurants. The restaurants visited are reserved in advance and we do not have to wait in lines, VIP pass, due to the good relationship with the owners, since we have been operating this tour for 10 years. Thank you again for your comment. I hope this answer helps to explain to you what the tour that did not complete consisted of.

Great gastronomic evening!

Ivor_F, Sep 2024
Brian our guide was excellent - very knowledgeable and welcoming There were 10 of us on the tour and we all sat and chatted about our time in Madrid. Brian took us to some wonderful restaurants serving a great selection of typical Spanish food and wine. Very enjoyable evening and would recommend to all

Well worth its price!

We were in a group of 8 people total which was a perfect number. About 4 hours worth of walking, chatting and PLENTY of food! I was skeptical about the price vs. value but we were stuffed by the end!

A must in Madrid

We had a fabulous evening wandering around Madrid stopping for great food and wine. We learned a lot about the production of ham in Spain, local history of the establishment of Madrid and met some lovely people who we were glad to have had the opportunity to do. Our guide was knowledgeable and provided us with a very encompassing experience. We highly recommend this tour.

Nice evening of food and drink

A history of Madrid via tapas exploring

William_C, May 2024
Who knew how much fun you could have learning about and enjoying a "Tapas Crawl" in Madrid? We and 8 others wandered to four restaurants under Pedro's expert guidance at lunch. We benefited from his plan to introduce us to the history and joy of tapas exploring. All this within just a few blocks, so even slow walkers could keep up. If you do one food tour in Madrid, this is it.

Worth it!

Kelley_B, May 2024
Brian was great! We had a great time and learned a lot about Madrid. We did the dinner tour. It didn’t look like it was enough food but it was the perfect amount!

Insightful and delicious

Eden_W, May 2024

Excellent food tour

James_P, Apr 2024
Pedro was an excellent host and gave us a great tour — explaining not only the food but other aspects of the culture. The food itself was very tasty and the establishments were prepared for us so overall an efficient process.
