Loved the VIP experience- the best ever
Great tour. I loved seeing parts of the studio that normally would be off limits. Skipping lines for the rides made everything easier. The food served was delicious. Definitely not park food. I was disappointed that the animal and special effects shows no longer exist.
f you're debating whether the VIP Experience is worth the upgrade, it absolutely is. From the moment we walked through the dedicated VIP entrance — bypassing the general admission lines entirely — it was clear this was a completely different level of park experience. We were welcomed into a private lounge with a full breakfast spread, comfortable seating, and none of the early-morning crowd chaos.
Our tour guide was the real highlight. Knowledgeable, funny, and clearly passionate about the studio's history, they walked our small group (capped at just 12 people, which makes a huge difference) through areas regular guests never see — working soundstages, the New York backlot, and props from decades of film and TV productions. The behind-the-scenes access to the Studio Tour, including extended stops most guests only glimpse from a distance, made the whole park feel new again even though we'd visited before.
Front-of-line access to every major ride — Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Jurassic World, Revenge of the Mummy, Fast & Furious — meant we spent our time actually experiencing the park instead of standing in line. Reserved seating at shows and a relaxed pace throughout the day made it feel more like a curated experience than a theme park visit.
It's a splurge, but for anyone who wants to see Universal Studios Hollywood done right, this is the way to do it. Highly recommend.
Our guide Andrew H. amazing. This is truly the way to experience the park without much of the crowd hassle. The guides escort you throughout the park and help you get in 7/8 rides, a water world show, and then backstage tour. We were able to use our VIP passes to take the express lanes and thus did not need to wait the two plus hours for most rides. VIP lounge to start and midday lunch buffet included. Andrew H. was just a delight.
Worth every penny. Such a great way to see the park. We made it on rides that had 110 minute lines in 2 minutes. You can just relax and follow your guide around the park, which made it totally stress free. we moved at a good pace. Rides and studio tour were superb. Our tour started at 11:45. Do arrive 30 minutes early for the breakfast - the tour starts right on time. Lunch at Moulin Rouge was great. Hannah was our guide - very knowledgeable about the park and Universal’s history. We really enjoyed our time. We finished at about 5:40 and went on a few more rides on our own after leaving the group.
This is by far the best way to explore Universal Studios! Such a great experience and so grateful i got to have it!

The VIP package at Universal is top-notch! The experience is special from the very beginning and the guides are so friendly and knowledgeable. We got to do everything in the park plus learned a lot from the guides. The tour alone is worth it! And we had an absolutely amazing guide named: Chris. I highly recommend him!

Wonderful experience! Our tour group got to experience walking the set of Back to the Future,
“Central Park”, the streets of NYC and London, and also a sound stage. Brogan and Victor were funny, engaging, and had an amazing trove of fun facts and knowledge. VIP is more than skipping the line, because on a couple rides there were separate VIP entrances/lines, which was really cool.
This is, hands-down, the best way to crush the park in one day! My seven-year-old and I had one day to do Universal, and VIP helped me enjoy the park just as much as she did because I didn't have to be head-down on my phone planning our next stop the whole time. Our guide, Billy, was EPIC for making this an incredible experience for both of us. His energy is contagious, and he made everything magical for our visit! If you have a chance to request a guide, request Billy! He's so great!
Amazing universal tour with knowledgeable and personable guides such as ours, Patrick. Unbelievable access to rides that would have taken us 3 days to experience with normal waiting lines. Private and very tasty sit down lunch with characters coming in and wandering around tables. We had a baby dinosaur puppeteer and Dracula! Only negative was only two restrooms at lunch and one was not operational so big lineup for one toilet.
Full day with plenty of action and information. Chris made us all feel comfortable and satisfied. The tour being divided among “site” seeing and rides/shows was well planned
We had a great guide, Bobby. He was extremely knowledgeable of the Park and movie history.. He was delightful and charming. While the package was a little pricey, it was worth every sentence.

I would absolutely recommend this especially if it your first time going to universal studios. And go to the early one so you have time to go and do more rides after the tour.

I dont often say this but it was worth every penny. From the seamless valet parking, to the food, to our outstanding and HARDWORKING escorts Billy and Andrew, to the cleanliness of the park and the conscientious park workers - it was excellent.
Our child wore a birthday button and by the end of the day over 100 park attendees has taken a moment to say Happy Birthday.

This was hands down the only way to do Universal! Danny our tour guide was fun, kind, and very informative! He got us through a jam packed day in a breezy way. The lunch was tasty, we got to see the full production set for St Denis and then get on every ride in 5-10 minutes.

VIP is the way to go in this park. You get into see most of the major rides, and no waiting in lines. This was our second visit. Our guide was fair at best. His presentation was robotic and uninspired. We were placed, without consultation. with a family of 6, which included a developmentally challenged child. This slowed down our whole visit, while we waited for accommodations to be made.
From beginning to end, it was great the best experience I’ve had so far on the trip if you plan on going to Universal Studios if you do not do the VIP then you’re sadly missing out on a great time our tour guide Laura was absolutely fantastic.
It was not our favourite tour of the one week we spent in LA. We had fun but it's another buy amusement park with terrible food and drink options. I could not imagine doing the park without some type of speed pass or VIP, but for what they charge it's not worth the money.
I really enjoyed the VIP experience at Universal Hollywood. We got to skip the line for all the rides at least once, were provided a delicious free lunch, and saw lots of exciting movie sets and sound stages… we walked on the actual set of St Denis Medical! I didn’t realize just how many famous movies and shows have filmed at the sound stages we toured. Overall it was a great experience. Mike C was a phenomenal tour guide who ensured we were comfortable and enjoying the experience every step of the way. It’s clear he is very knowledgeable about the history of Universal and movie-making. If you’re torn between the regular admission and VIP experience, go with VIP! It is seriously worth the higher cost, especially when you get a look at the regular lines for rides.
