Absolutely brilliant day with Christof who speaks fluent English. He was so informative and a great tour guide. He took us to all the points of interest before all the other tours arrived so it wasnt too busy. The off road journey standing up in the jeep was amazing. We visited Porto Maniz and also Camera de Lobo both were lovely. If you decide to book a tour book this one.
We had such an amazing time on this tour with Christophe we would recommend to anyone coming to Madeira. He really took care in making sure we had a great time and knew a lot of less crowded areas/ timing of when to arrive places. He gave us dinner recommendations as well!!
This was a wonderful day, made perfect by our guide Christophe. We visited many beautiful places and learned so much thanks to Christophe's knowledge of the island. The whole day was full of fun, excitement and humour. If you are thinking about booking this trip then do it, and I hope you are lucky enough to get Christophe as your guide.
A fun-filled day exploring the amazing west /north coast with our fantastic informative guide Christophe who’s attention to timings allowed us to be ahead of the game in terms of other similar trips. Such a great way to travel round the island -highly recommend!
Brilliant tour of the island, if you are thinking of booking one book this one! Everything about the tour was right, including amending the final section to our preferences/ when the original bar we had planned to go to was closed. Cristophe also took the time to explain every stop to us and point out good restaurants for lunch when we noticed that other guides had just left their groups.
Excellent tour great way to see island Chris was good fun and very knowledgeable. He made it such a fabulous day highly recommended.
Fantastic trip with fabulous Christophe driving and informing us about the flora and fauna of the island, its history and culture. It would have taken us days to see only a fraction of what we saw and experienced if we had driven ourselves. Great value and very comfortable car. Thank you Christophe
The tour was amazing, really opened the understanding of the island without being too formal. The guide is fantastic and very funny. We chose it because it gave 2 hours stop over in Porto Moniz and you DO need this time if you want to swim. And you do want to swim there.
Christopher was the best guide we could have asked for. He made sure that we saw all the places, we really saw everything of Madeira. He took the time at each place and also explained everything in details about the island including history, animals, flowers, food and much more. He has a good humor which elevates the experience. He was flexible and made us feel comfortable and safe at all times. Above all he made sure that we enjoyed every bit. He even sent suggestions for the rest of the trip. We really appreciated the effort, enjoyed it and would recommend to everyone.
Best day ever. Christopher our guide for the day was wonderful. He knew all of the special spots for us to view on this beautiful Island. Full day tour and it went fast. He moved through the streets and back roads with precision. We stood up in Landrover riding up the mountain ridge 5000 feet up. Truely once in life time experience!
Terrific way to see more of Funchal and the different microclimates as you climb to higher altitudes. Despite a rainy and cloudy day, our driver Christophe still made it a very enjoyable experience. His knowledge, and humour, makes this a must-do trip.
Our guide Christophe was passionate and knowledgeable about every aspect of the island. We enjoyed the small group of 3 experience seeing key spots along the north and south. The jeep was comfortable and a great way to view the surrounding landscape. We learned so much and had so much fun! Muito obrigada!

Our trip around the Island with Christof was brilliant. He was very knowledgeable and we both (77 and 78yrs) felt very safe even though some of the roads were a little bit hairy. The off road was fun.
This is the 3rd time we have done this kind of trip and have enjoyed every one. Also very much approve of Christof’s choice of music. We would highly recommend him.

What a fun day! Christophe showed us his country with such pride and detail. We learned so much and had a blast. He communicated with us thoroughly and was right on time for pick ups. We really enjoyed the other two people on our trip too. It was a great shared experience seeing the Fanal Forest, the Porto Moniz pools, the busy, but scenic look out at Cabo Girão, the off-roading, the poncha bar...and so much more. We had lots of time to stop and look around, take pictures and take it all in. It was a really great itinerary and filled with so much information about the various climates, changes and sights. We couldn’t have picked a better tour to see the west side of the island! Thanks Christophe!
We had a wonderful day trip with Christopher. It was quite an adventurous day. Christopher is a wonderful ambassador for the island - he is a most affable man, incredibly knowledgeable about the island’s history and its flora and fauna. We too witnessed his incredible empathy when he went out of his way to assist one of our fellow passengers by driving back to the spot where the man had left his bag, contacted his fellow guides on the island and finally taking the man to the police station. It is a trip we will remember for a long time. Thank you Christopher.
I had forgotten how much fun a Jeep ride would be. And then again it wasn’t gonna be the same without a wonderful guy that we had Christophe
He was funny optimist and took good care of all the people in the jeep.
Toward the end of the adventure, I ended up losing my personal stuff, IDs and wallet, and he even paid out for the last few things which was very nice of him to do. And even drove me back to the location where I left the items which we were not able to find. But his kindness speaks volumes. And despite that bitterness at the end, the whole tour was phenomenal and I’ll do it again. I got to see so much of the island in one day.
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide — Christophe was fantastic: friendly, funny, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable. His deep understanding of Madeira and the vegetation at different altitudes was truly impressive.
He’s also an excellent driver who knows the island’s winding roads perfectly, which made us feel completely safe and relaxed throughout the trip. Christophe's open-roof Jeep was perfect for standing up and enjoying the full experience — feeling the breeze and taking in the sights, sounds, and scents of the island.
The tour started right from our apartment, and at the end of the day, we were conveniently dropped off there again — everything was perfectly organized from start to finish.
We were especially lucky to have the tour all to ourselves, just the two of us, which made it even more personal and memorable.

The best way to experience Madeira in a short space of time. Christophe was an exceptional guide who took us ‘off the beaten track’ quite literally and allowed us to explore some of the most beautiful scenery that Madeira has to offer.
We spent around 8 hours on our tour with plenty of time at each stop to explore, take photos and enjoy the stunning views. Pick up was straight forward and the ride was comfortable and exhilarating in equal measure!

Absolutely brilliant tour with Christophe. He is a mine of botanical and historical information about the island. He showed us the diversity of climate and topography of the island whilst navigating the narrow roads with ease. Would definitely travel with Christophe again.

Shared trip with 3 other ladies and my partner.Christopher was an amazing guide translating in both English and Portuguese.Very knowledgeable about the Island,History,floral and fauna.Especially enjoyed the offloading in the mountains.
The best trip we ever had. Christopher was amazing, he had showed as most beautiful places of Madeira. As well a lot of history and information supplied about an Ireland of Madeira. If you have any concerns about a trip, don’t even think about it take it. You wouldn’t regret 100%.
This trip was done with my daughter and I really enjoyed this trip , Christopher was my guide , really fun and funny guy . Very packed schedule , enjoyed every stop . Wear proper running shoes .
Well paced tour in a comfortable Land Rover Discovery.. Should have been for four but only two on the day, which made it very personal. Really enjoyed the off road experience, where we stood up through the opened roof along tracks through the forest. Short but enjoyable Levada walk gave us a good “taster”. Great experience of the forest at Fanal in swirling mist, which broke to reveal dramatic tres and vistas. Good time swimming in the volcanic pools at Porto Moniz. Then a drive along the north coast to see waterfalls and the beach at Seixal. Full eight hour day, which flew by under the care of our excellent guide Christophe. He was very knowledgeable and good humoured which added to our day.
It is a great and very diverse tour on nice Land Rover in group of max 4 people + guide around west and north part of island. You gonna experience many different things and it is totally worth it. The guide Christophe is a very great guy with a sense of humor and deep knowledge of island life and nature. It was very fun. Take comfortable shoes for walks and small hiking, and change swimming clothes with slipper and towel.
