This guide really exceeded my expectations. I do not typically do group guided tours. We did some private tours with our hotel & tried this one which had a great value and drove us to places we wanted to see. The ride & views were top highlights. Excellent driver & guide with Rui! The off-roading experience was very fun & memorable! The winery experience was super memorable with insanely beautiful views all around. The restaurant we went to for lunch (not included in price) was delicious with amazing views!

We had the best time; a super knowledgeable but relaxed guide who brought a lot of fun. Great wines, great views. Absolutely worth the cost and a good lunch stop too. Never too rushed, and a small group made it feel very personal throughout. Thank you!
Whilst no off roading, the smaller roads were steep and rough, can be challenging in a Land Rover for some.
The 4x4 wine tasting was great fun and took in some very narrow and muddy roads as well as the old mountain roads. The views were fantastic, and the tours around the wineries and the wine tasting itself was excellent. Highly recommended.
Very fun day with a very good tour guide!
Unfortunately the madeira wine was not avaliable to try but the guide showed us some other cool places instead.
Exhilarating and educational exploration of part of the island, with amazing wines and Madeira wines to sample. A must for people who want to mix sightseeing and wine tasting. Gil is an amazing driver, entertaining host and has a great knowledge of the interesting local flora and fauna.
Our guide Andre was very knowledgeable and did a great job driving the 4x4 vehicle through off-road and narrow passages. Interesting vineyard visits especially the first one which provided a tour around the vineyard and explanation about the winemaking process and great tastings paired with finger food. Highly recommended
The whole experience was memorable. Our guide Diogo was great fun and new all the shortcuts! He went out of his way to accommodate our wish to leave a memorial tribute, which was very good of him. Both tastings, and the honey museum were great. The lunch was good, but be hungry, the portions were enormous! Highly recommended.
Wonderful guide and just an all around great day seeing some sights in the northern part of the island. I signed up for the wine, but the off-roading was easily a highlight and unexpected awesome time. Friendly, knowledgeable, and well organized.
Rueben was the best guide. Very knowledgeable and very fun! Winery was great and the off roading was very fun and gave a close up look of the area.
The guide was great, but the wine tasting was not what we expected. The first winery was a table wine producer, not a Madeira wine producer. This was not explained in the tour description. The second stop at the Henriques and Henriques Madeira winery was a waste of time. The sample pours were so small that you could barely taste them.
One of the best and most enjoyable tours I have participated in. Rui Silva our guide was not only professional he was enthusiastic, informative and fully committed to ensuring that we had a fantastic experience. I can only highly recommend this tour if you want to see the Island and have an excellent wine and Madeira tasting experience.
This trip was amazing, Gil Souza our guide, kept us entertained and he pointed out lots of interesting sights, local life and flora and fauna, Gil definitely helped make this trip highly enjoyable and memorable. The off road experience, which was up and down mountain tracks was exhilarating, especially when we could stand up in the jeep and have our upper bodies sticking out of the vehicle, thrilling but still safe. The wine tasting took place in a beautiful mountain side vineyard, with a great selection of wines to taste, a knowledgeable wine host and they were generous with the wine! Lunch was in a lovely restaurant by the coast, great sea views, the food was tasty and large portions! After more sightseeing, we ended up in the Madeira fortified wine distillery and tried several types and ages of Madeira. I highly recommend this trip, especially if you like a tipple with your sight seeing.
Rui our guide was brilliant. Took us on some interesting routes even managing the top down before the rain came. Informative & amusing chat. Lovely guy The wine tours were good too.
We had a great trip would have gave it a 5 but we were on a trip with people on a cruise ship. And felt everywhere we stopped they were watching the clock. Our tour guide Rio was fantastic he was so informative and very proud of his country he's gets 10 out of 10 from us.
Excellent trip from pickup to drop off. Our guide Gil was even persuaded to take the group to a Poncha bar which we passed on route.
The entire day was fantastic. Our guide (Paolo) was energetic and engaging, the wine was amazing, the views stunning and, although you do have to pay for lunch, the food offered was delicious and reasonably priced. We were lucky to share with some fun people too which made it even better. All in all very well worth it.
So basically was one of the most memorable experience we ever had. We went for a journey through local wines that taste delicious, the minerality of this land makes you remember that we re in a very unique vulcanic island. We had a beautiful lunch, and why not I personally had the churrasco for the first time. The visit ended in one of the biggest madeira wine cantine of the island. Fantastic...
We will go back to London regretting the amazing time and the amazing wine journey we had here. Special thank you to the team that assisted me,(my gut sometimes is not at the best) and that definitely made our day.

Great off road scenery, absolutely stunning panoramic views.
Wine tasting in Sao Vicente vineyard was informative and the practical was superb as was the Madeira wine lodge.
The glass platform is an absolute must see and do.

Tour guide Christopher was very informative and entertaining. The use of 4x4 vehicles made for a fun and exciting ride. The wine tour and tasting was excellent. We had some rain but tour made the best of it and I would highly recommend.
We had an amazing day out with our guide Rui. Even though the weather was a little unkind he made the experience very enjoyable. Two wine tasting experiences, a sky walk, lunch( extra cost but optional), and some land-rover off reading. Picked up on time and dropped off on time. Great day out to finish our week in Maderia

Pick up on time without any problem regardless the address in Funchal, in our case. Rui, the Tour Guide, is really kind, nice, funny and at the same time really focused. The off road was amazing, the wine tasting interesting. Experience really suggested.

I thought the wine at the first vineyard wasn't quite to my taste and the tour guide could have been a bit more upbeat/friendly. But the guide at the second venue (fortified wine at Henriques) was awesome.
The place we went to for lunch was also incredible. Often tours take us to relatively rubbish places, but lunch was really high quality!
BRING A JACKET - it can get a bit breezy in the jeep.
